She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Haleigh had gone through a hard week. She was a loner, essentially. She had been in Arden Falls for a whole two weeks. The first had been spent looking around and investigating the place and all of the places where you could go. She hadn’t decided on her favourite place. One of them had to be Benson and Barnes. It reminded her of home, how the old bars in Texas had been put into barns that had been re-done but still had that old look about them. That was what Haleigh missed the most right now: the familiarity of Austin, Texas, to her. She sighed, right now she was lying on her bed wondering what the heck she should do. She was looking for a job, but it was hard, the economy was taking a downturn. At least her father had given her, her savings so she had that to back her up. She had no intention to take her education past high school, she hoped for a singing career. She was a very good singer, passionate and determined. She had had a few record companies look at her in Texas, but since she’d moved to Arden Falls, there had been no calls. That frustrated her the most, she had made sure to give them the right cell phone number and she had service just about anywhere she went. She just had to wait, which wasn’t a strength that Haleigh James McFadden possessed.
Turning her head to the side, she read the alarm clock. 6:54pm. She sat up, surveying her messy room. She had done some unpacking, but if she did it all it would make this move seem more permanent than she was willing to accept at the moment. She pushed up off of her bed and walked into the bathroom to do her make up. She had showered this morning, never one to shower during the day or at night. Having already done her hair, curling it into long soft curls, all she had to do was touch-up her face. She planned on going to Benson and Barnes tonight. Why not? Beer helped her right now, it was there no matter what. Haleigh had never been a champagne girl, maybe it was the redneck part of her that was still strong. She had tried a fruity drink at the Benson and Barnes and almost threw it up. She had quickly gotten a beer and it calmed her down. She couldn’t stand light, fruity drinks. And apparently moving didn’t change that fact. Not that that bothered Haleigh, she was happy that the move wasn’t going to change the redneck side of her. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, making sure that you couldn’t really tell that she was wearing make up. She had never been one to make herself look like a racoon, it bugged her when she saw that.
Walking out of the bathroom she searched her bedroom for something to wear. This was the tricky part, because it was getting cooler outside so she would probably wear jeans. They were in a box at the very bottom of one of the many stacks that she had piled around her room. She started to shift things around. She found the box labelled Jeans. She pulled out a dark pair and then slipped her atheltic, and short legs into them. Standing up as tall as she could she only reached a height of 5’4”. That didn’t bother her though, because she could wear high heels and not have to worry if she towered over the boy she was talking to. Of course, that was back home. Now all she cared about is if someone, anyone would talk to her. She felt like she hadn’t talked to someone face to face for ever. She searched through some tops hanging up and found a strapless blue one, one of her favourite clubbing ones. She slipped into it, after changing into a strapless bra. Now to the accessories. She found a white purse, slipped her cell into it, iPod and wallet, as well with a few more things.
Walking over to her dresser she grabbed a silver twisty bracelet, another favourite. She sprayed some perfume on, not too strong, not too weak. Grabbing her purse, she walked out of her room and then down the hallway and down the stairs, into the mudroom in front of the door. She slipped into a black, sleek pair of high heels. She then walked out the front door, locking it behind her and heading towards her precious car. It was a black, sleek Cobalt SS. She had done some work on it, she was that type of girl. Adding a faster, louder motor and customizing the interior a bit more she wasn’t completely satisfied with it, but she needed to be more cautious about spending her money. God knows, she didn’t need to get any more clothes, that’s for sure! Anyways, shortly after leaving the home, Haleigh was driving towards Benson and Barnes, driving a little too fast. That was another thing that she had done for quite some time, she never drove near the speed limit. A few tickets here and there didn’t bother her, at least she didn’t get into accidents.
As she pulled up the gravel driveway, she smiled, seeing the lights on and a bunch of vehicles parked on the grass. She found an empty spot near a lifted pick up truck. Cutting the roaring engine, she got out, grabbing her purse and heading towards the barn. It felt weird, not being in her cowboy boots. She wore them all of the time, but maybe she needed to have a variety, especially when she had the materials in her home. Swinging open the barn door, she stepped inside. The dance floor was huge, and the crowd was continuing to grow. She flashed her ID to the bartender and then ordered a beer. Sitting down on a stool, she sipped at the cool, refreshing drink. She gazed over the crowds, taking her time and taking in everyone around her. She hoped that tonight, she would be able to meet someone. That was her wish, hopefully it would be granted. All she wanted was to be able to talk to someone, anyone.
oh oh see: I was bored and full of muse, that’s why this is so long - I don’t expect whoever replies to have a post this long. No pressure. : )[/blockquote]

Who knew. The sun was starting to set, and the clouds seemed to look like it always had. The evening was slowly creeping in, and Ty didn't even realized what time it had been, and how long he had been messing around in one of his friend's music studios. This was a usual habit of his, basically just living inside various music studios throughout the Arden Falls. Who could blame the guy. After all, this was in fact his dream, his passion, and his life. Having realized what time it had been, after taking a look at his sports watch. It was, well, almost 7:00 PM. The guys were getting a little restless, but it was Ty's stubborn self that kept them still stuck inside the studio. They'd wanted to head out for a drink or something, probably at Benson and Barnes, a local club that was a usual spot for them.
'One more minute..' was the phrase that Ty blurbed out every so often. What he'd didn't notice was that he had been saying that for the past two hours. His friends then decided that they had had enough, and just dragged Ty's dead weight out of the place. Ty then realized that he was being a bit stubborn, so he just went along with his buddies, not before freshening up a bit. They were headed to Benson and Barnes, a local hot spot for girls and possibly agents looking for talent, which was the more unlikely of the two. Ty headed to the bathroom, and just freshened up a little bit. He'd brush his teeth, wash his face, and put on a little cologne. He didn't spend too much time in the bathroom, a couple minutes at most.
Then it was decided. Ty and his two buddies headed out to Benson and Barnes, hoping to maybe take in a couple drinks, and possibly meet a couple ladies. Ty was dressed rather casual. Wearing only a navy colored blazer over a white graphic tee, some fitted dark navy jeans, and some trendy sneakers. Oh, and the clean, white, baseball cap. You can't forget about that. The club itself wasn't too far along from where the studio was. It was about a ten minute walk at most, and that was what it was. Ten minutes, and the gang had reached their destination. Benson and Barnes never looked to great on the outside, having been a mill in the past, but the inside. Wow, it could really blow a guy away. The place was packed with a crowd. People of all ages ranging from their late teens, to the ones in their mid thirties.
Oh, the dance floor, the music, it just helped Ty relax that much more. He knew he needed to dance at least a couple times, and take in a couple drinks before leaving tonight. As Ty and his buddies entered the club, both his friends went AWOL, having waltzed off to pursue in their own interests. It was normal, and Ty was used to it. He walked over to the bar, just checking the place out, craving for a drink. He took a seat down and awaited for the bartender to come. The bartender knew him pretty well to say the least. After all, he had been a regular for a while now. As the bartender came over, Ty searched through his pockets for his ID. He felt his iPod, his keys, and then he finally reached out his wallet, but it was all in avail. The bartender simply just told him that he didn't need to flash any ID, and just handed him a drink. Ty simply thanked him and took a sip of ice cold beverage.
He went to see if there was anyone he could just talk to. Having gazing through the crowds at the dance floor, everyone seemed to be busy with their own thing. Much to his own belief, and his own blindness, there had already been a girl sitting a couple seats away from him taking a drink. Ty took the initiative and walked over to her, carrying his drink. The girl looked quite good, sporting a strapless blue top, a pair of jeans, and some black heels.
"Hey. Mind if I take a seat next to ya?" Ty asked politely, flashing a quick grin which was snow white to say the least.
OOC: I'm trying. xD Don't think I can keep busting these though.

She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Haleigh sipped at her beer, taking in the atmosphere around her. This was a place that she could, with surprise, relax. Maybe it was because of the alcohol that was now flowing through her veins, making her smile a bit more than she normally would. Of course, Haleigh wasn’t a lightweight. She had been drinking for quite sometime, since she was fifteen. Of course, her father knew that she had been drinking, heck she would crack open a beer with him and talk. He didn’t have a problem with it - as long as she wasn’t getting plastered out of her mind and doing something stupid. She was sensible, even if she did get really drunk, of course those times weren’t spent under her father’s nose but rather out at a bonfire party with her friends. That was her favourite kind of party: bonfires. They were so much fun, especially when someone backed their truck up near the fire and cranked up the country music.
Hey. Mind if I take a seat next to ya? An unfamiliar boy’s voice startled her out of her thoughts. She didn’t jump though, because she would have spilled her beer onto her outfit which wouldn’t have been a good thing. “Of course not.” She flashed a beautiful smile, being the friendly girl that she has always been. “My name’s Haleigh. Hales for short.” She said, holding her hand out to him, a habit of hers. She had always done that: offer her hand out when she introduced herself. It had been something that she’d always seen her mother and father do when she was young, so it must’ve been just one of those things that you pick up on from seeing all of the time. Whatever the case, she didn’t mind, she was comfortable with herself to be able to introduce her name and shake someone’s hand, that never seemed like a scary thing to do.
She returned her hand back to her thigh, taking another swing of her beer. This one was her… third? Yeah, her third. She was feeling a bit of a buzz, but that was nothing compared to what she’d felt before. She let her eyes settle on the boy beside her, she had never seen him before. But of course, she didn’t know many people around her so that wasn’t really something outstanding. Moving her eyes away from him, she looked down at the beer resting in her hand, on her other thigh. The peel was starting to bubble from the beer being taken from the cooler into the warm atmosphere of the club. She watched it, and then lifted her other hand to it and started to pick at it. Why she was doing that, she didn’t know, maybe out of boredum? She wanted to go up and dance, that was one thing she loved to do just about as much as sing. But she wasn’t going alone and she had to finish off her beer anyways.
oh oh see: Don’t worry about it - that was a really good post that you made. : )

Ty hoped that the girl wouldn't reject him. It was something Ty had gotten used to however, over the years. Then again, it's also a feeling that never tends to feel all that well, no matter how much times you're dealt with it. “Of course not.” That was what Ty wanted to hear, and he had gotten it. She even flashed a wonderful smile, one that left him speechless for a second. The girl had been downing quite a few drinks, possibly one too many, but then again, Ty didn't say anything about it, having not knowing her that well, and not wanting to ruin anything that she came here for.
“My name’s Haleigh. Hales for short.” She was quite friendly, having offered her hand out. "Haleigh? That's a nice name. My name's Ty. It's a pleasure to meet ya." Ty was smiling as he shook her hand. Haleigh's hand was quite soft and velvety, one that signaled that she had good hygiene and cared for health and wellbeing. A plus in Ty's book. Ty finally took a seat down next to Haleigh, and continued drinking some alcohol that never seemed to stop coming. Ty wasn't the type to get drunk real quick, having high tolerance for this kind of stuff. After all, he used to binge drink in his early teenage years, being the sort of bad boy at the time. Haleigh seemed to take in a great deal of alcohol, even though having such a small frame. How does this girl do it?
"You seem to be quite the drinker eh?" Ty chuckled lightly as he continued to take in a couple drinks. "So, what brings you here?" Ty asked politely yet again, still not feeling the effects of the alcohol tampering with his judgement. Ty took notice on the dance floor, seeing all people there just having a ton of fun. He wanted to get on there himself, perhaps with a partner, one by the name of Haleigh. After all, he loved to dance, and was quite the dancer. He wanted to sing and act and entertain for one. A personal goal and dream of his. Ty didn't know whether or not Haleigh wanted to dance or not, but maybe he should wait a little bit longer first, just to break the ice. The crave to dance however, it was almost too much for Ty to hold back.
OOC: Thanks. ^^ It's getting shorter. I'm going to crank out whatever I can.

She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Haleigh smiled over at him, yeah sure she was on her third beer, but she was taking time between the long swings. That’s how she drank, taking a long swing and then talking, that helped her stay sober longer. She had a very high tolerance for alcohol, but she thinks that maybe her father wanted to help her with that, having gotten her used to alcohol. She was thankful for that, she wasn’t the one being made fun of, she got to make fun of other people for being light weights. She smiled at the good ol’ memories where she could tease her friends, while she chugged them back. It had been much more relaxed back home. She used to walk home from the bars, sobering up enough so that she could talk to her dad to explain why she had been out late. That was one conversation she needed to be thinking about. Her dad wasn’t the stern type, but he did need her to call him at ten o’clock at night if she was out, just so he knew that she was alive still.
Haleigh glanced over at the boy beside her. Haleigh? That’s a nice name. My name’s Ty. It’s a pleasure to meet ya. Hales smiled, “It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Ty.” She tested his name on her tongue, like a new flavour. She smiled at him, he seemed like a really polite kind of guy. A rare one. You seem to be quite the drinker, eh? Haleigh smiled over at him. “Yeah, I do love my beer.” She paused, to look down at the cold bottle in her hand. “But I’ve been drinking for quite some time now, so it’s not like I get stupid when I’m drunk. You get used to it after a while…” She smiled up at him, before letting her eyes skim over the crowds. She had noticed something though: that he could put them back too. “You don’t seem to be pausing for much either.” She pointed out, chuckling. She was the type of girl who liked to joke and just have a good time. Sure, there were very serious moments in her life, but she always liked to go out and have a good time.
So what brings you here? Hales turned to him and smiled, lifting her drink and shaking it lightly. She laughed, “Well and I am just bored sitting alone at home. See, I’m new to Arden Falls and I don’t know many people. Alcohol, well it makes me a bit bolder than I usually am. See, if I wasn’t feeling good right now - I wouldn’t have admitted that.” She laughed again, maybe he would be annoyed at how much she was starting to talk. Or maybe it would get more interesting. She followed his gaze out onto the dance floor, as she took another swing of her beer. She was about ¾ done this one, but she didn’t know if she should get another one. She did want to be able to get up and dance without acting completely drunk. “How about you, what brings you here?” She asked him over the pounding music, turning her head in his direction to watch his facial reaction to what she’d just asked him.
oh oh see: sorry for having to leave so suddenly yesterday, but my boyfriend had come over unexpectedly lol.

Oh, she was quite the drinker. One that was a bit of a lightweight, which was very rare to see, at least in Ty's own opinion. She seemed to take a short break in between each drink of beer, perhaps a method to take more in without having to feel the after effects of it. Whatever the case might've been, Haleigh had pretty darn good tolerance to alcohol, and it was something that Ty thought was amazing, yet pretty awesome at the same. Ty himself was quite the drinker, but one that never drinks one too much, having had some embarrassing moments in the past after being having a drink too many. Let's just say it involved with him waking up on a street corner with nothing but his boxers and a tank on. We'll stop there.
It was always nice to see a girl smile. Ty considered it to be on of the best sights in the world, having been living in Arden Falls for quite some time, the town itself was beautiful by it's own grace, but it's greatness has fell down from a couple notches. A couple smiles would just help him carry on every now and then. With Haleigh smiling every now and then, it reassured Ty that she wasn't annoyed with him as company. “Yeah, I do love my beer. I’ve been drinking for quite some time now, so it’s not like I get stupid when I’m drunk. You get used to it after a while…” Ty smiled. "That's true. You seem to be able to down quite a few," Ty paused. "I love my beer too. I'm just beginning to wonder who doesn't." Ty chuckled lightly. She seemed to be looking out into the dance floor, perhaps she had a crave to possibly get over there also. “You don’t seem to be pausing for much either.” Ty chuckled at her comment. "Yeah. Guess we have something in common then," Ty replied. He also liked to joke around a bit, as it was just his personality, and just who he was. Haleigh seemed to have a sense of humor, a trait that he liked and had himself. Just being optimistic, it was what keeps life fresh and exciting.
Ty took in a couple more gulps of alcohol. He had just received his third glass. Ice cold refreshing beer. There's nothing in the world like it. “Well and I am just bored sitting alone at home. See, I’m new to Arden Falls and I don’t know many people. Alcohol, well it makes me a bit bolder than I usually am. See, if I wasn’t feeling good right now - I wouldn’t have admitted that.” Ty didn't mind her just speaking her mind out. After all, it was always nice to listen to what others had to say, and it would keep everything from going awkward. "Oh. You're a new resident?" Ty was a bit surprised, but then again, when he came to think about it. He hadn't ever seen her around before. "Well, don't worry about it. People are generally friendly here, and look towards the bright side. You made a friend in me today, so that's one person you can add to your list." Ty said as he flashed a smile. "Alcohol makes you a bit more bolder eh?" Ty paused. "That's a good thing. We all have to get away from our comfort zone every one in a while, and it feels that much better with some help, presumably with alcohol." Ty continued. "It's nice to know that you're feeling good at the moment. It means I haven't done anything wrong yet." Ty joked in the latter part, having been smiling for quite some time now. Man, was she downing those drinks. She was almost done with her third glass, and was still going strong.
“How about you, what brings you here?” Ty smiled as he took in another gulp of beer before answering. "Well, my buddies dragged me here after having spent the entire day cooped up in the studio, which was my fault. They wanted to take a break, so we just strolled on along here to take it easy. I don't know where they are now, they might've even left already for all I know. All in all, I'm kind of a regular here at Benson and Barnes. After all, this place is always booming and it's always the place to be to relieve some stress and have some fun." Ty might've been speaking too much. He hoped he hadn't rambled too long. It was sometimes a habit of his to go on, perhaps probably due to a couple drinks having settled in to his system. "As a toast to you being new here. I'll be the gentlemen and pick up your tab." Ty smiled.
OOC: It's okay. Things always come up out of the blue. xD

She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Haleigh continued gaze over the crowds, but she couldn’t help returning her gaze back at Ty. She didn’t know why, but there was something about the boy that intrigued her - made her feel protected. Maybe it was because he was being kind to her. Whatever the case, she definitely wasn’t complaining. That’s true. You seem to be able to down quite a few. I love my beer too. I’m just beginning to wonder who doesn’t. Haleigh smiled, “It is nectar from the Gods.” She winked, and smiled again. Yeah. Guess we have something in common then. Haleigh smiled, she liked the fact that they had something in common. But she knew that they had another thing in common: both liked to joke. That made her smile, and she opened her mouth to speak. “At least you don’t deny it.” She looked at him for a moment longer, wondering why she continued to gaze at him like that. ‘Must be the alcohol…’ she thought to herself, looking out over the crowds.
Oh. You’re a new resident? Hales caught the surprised look on his face and nodded her head. “Yeah, even though I wish that I knew more people around here.” She paused. “Moving to new places is hard for me… especially when I didn’t have any issues with the last place I left.” She looked over at him, and when she finished speaking she heard his vocals. Well, don’t worry about it. People are generally friendly here, and look towards the bright side. You made a friend in me today, so that’s one person you can add to your list. Haleigh smiled, her cheeks warming. “Thank you.” And she meant it, too. Alcohol makes you a bit more bolder, eh? That’s a good thing. We all have to get away from our comfort zone every once in a while, and it feels that much better with some help, presumably with alcohol. She looked over at him, soaking in his words like the alcohol soaking into her system.
It’s nice to know that you’re feeling good at the moment. It means I haven’t done anything wrong yet. Haleigh giggled, her cheeks warming again. “You’ve raised a very good point there.” She looked out over the crowds, and then turned her attention back to him. “I remember the good ol’ days when I didn’t need to have alcohol in my system to have a good time. Boy, I sure do wish that I could go back in time.” Her voice was very wistful, and she knew that she was going to start sounding boring soon. She shut her trap, after downing the rest of her third bottle of beer. She didn’t order another one, even though she was tempted to. Placing the empty bottle onto the bar behind her, she turned in her seat to look back at Ty, listening as he spoke to her again. She liked the sound of his voice, it was comforting.
Well, my buddies dragged me here after having spent the entire day cooped up in the studio, which was my fault. They wanted to take a break, so we just strolled on along here to take it easy. I don’t know where they are now, they might’ve even left already for all I know. All in all, I’m kind of a regular here at Benson and Barnes. After all, this place is always booming and it’s always the place to be to relieve some stress and have some fun. Haleigh nodded, smiling. “Studio? So are you like an artist or a singer? I am a singer…” She blushed, “I mean, I want to become a professional singer.” She wished that she could slow down the flow of words. “I can see myself becoming a regular here too, it reminds me so much of Texas.” She had a very strong accent that would’ve given away the fact she was from Texas, but she decided to bring it up in the conversation that they were having. As a toast to you being new here. I’ll be the gentlemen and pick up your tab. Haleigh widened her eyes, she hadn’t been treated this good in a long time. “Oh, well maybe I should keep the alcohol flowin’.” She giggled, but didn’t make a move to get anymore. “Thank you. You didn’t have too.” She smiled with gratitude.
oh oh see: yeah, that's very true!

Kicking it back at Benson and Barnes, taking in a couple gulps of ice cold refreshing beer, and talking to a friendly girl. It was indeed the life. Ty found Haleigh to be someone that he could easily connect to in a way, someone that he found friendly and kind at the same time. Her smile was something that enjoyed watching, and there's was plenty of it too. Ty might've been smiling without his own self noticing. "It is nectar from the Gods.” Ty chuckled lightly. He notice her wink and smile. It was quite enjoyable for him to see. "Yes it is, and I'm loving every single drop of it." Ty continued chuckling lightly. Both of them really had something going. Everything seemed to click well, and everything seemed to run smoothly for the two. “At least you don’t deny it.” Ty smiled. "Yeah."
“Yeah, even though I wish that I knew more people around here. Moving to new places is hard for me… especially when I didn’t have any issues with the last place I left.” Ty was listening to every word she had to say. Her voice was a joy to listen to. It was sweet and sounded quite nice. "You must miss a lot of people back at your old place," Ty paused for a moment. "But look towards the bright side. New place means new friends, and also new opportunities." Ty paused again, this time smiling. "You're old home. Must've been nice." The two were exchanging smiles from left to right. Ty could never get tired of watching Haleigh's grin. His face was starting to warm up, or at least his whole body was. His belly was starting to get that warm fuzzy feeling, probably from the alcohol he had been consuming. It was always a nice feeling. One that felt like he was embracing another's warmth.
“You’ve raised a very good point there. I remember the good ol’ days when I didn’t need to have alcohol in my system to have a good time. Boy, I sure do wish that I could go back in time.” Ty was all ears. It was always a treat to hear stories of another person's past. Besides, he could listen to Haleigh ramble on all day. He enjoyed her tone. Perhaps she might've sung at one point in her life. Ty was more self conscious about his own voice at this point in time. He might've come off annoying for speaking so much. "Sounds like story time. If you don't mind, I'd like to hear more about those good ol' days of your's." Ty said sincerely. As he flashed another smile. He also noticed that she finished her third glass of beer, and she didn't look phased out at all.
Ty took another gulp out of his glass, and finished what he had remaining. He took another gaze out at the dance floor. It was still lively, and still filled with a bunch of dancers. Perhaps, there might've been an opportunity to get his groove on along with Haleigh, and maybe, just maybe, catch a slow song with her. “Studio? So are you like an artist or a singer? I am a singer… I mean, I want to become a professional singer.” Ty saw her blush. He was right, she was a singer after all. Perhaps the two had more things in common than they could ever realize. "Well, I'd like to say I'm one. It's my dream to make it into the industry. Music is a passion of mine, a dream. It's the one thing that saved me. Currently, I'm just producing and writing a couple demo songs at my buddy's studio, and my own." Ty took a deep breath. He didn't notice he was saying a mouthful. "Sorry for preaching. I can be like that at times." Ty paused. "You want to be a singer also? That's cool. We have a lot in common. We should do a duet one of these days. It'll be my honor to be singing alongside a girl like you," Ty said as he smiled.
“I can see myself becoming a regular here too, it reminds me so much of Texas.” Ty smiled. Come to think of it. She did have a sort of a Texan accent. "That's good to here. I might be able to run into you more often." Ty paused. "Ah, from Texas? Heard it's a wonderful place." Ty had never gone to Texas before, but he'd always thought of going there one day. It always sounded like a nice place, and the people must've been quite friendly there, seeing how Haleigh's such a darling. “Oh, well maybe I should keep the alcohol flowin’. Thank you. You didn’t have too.” Ty smiled. "Nothing beats ice cold beer." Ty said as he chuckled lightly. "It's the least I can do. No need to thank me." Ty said in a jolly manner.
OOC: I wonder how long I can keep cranking these out. xD

She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Yes it is, and I’m loving every single drop of it. Haleigh nodded mutely, there was no need to speak then - she totally agreed with him. Yeah. Haleigh let a silence settle upon them, but it wasn’t an awkward one. Maybe it was because they seemed to get along pretty well, or maybe it was because of the relaxed environment of Benson and Barnes. Whatever the reason, she liked how she didn’t have to try to fill the awkward silence. That was a relief, really. Sometimes when she spoke to someone, she felt the need to keep on talking or the silence would eat her alive. But at least she had music to listen to, even though it wasn’t her favourite kind of music. She was a country girl, and being proud of it, she listened to only country music. This rap stuff spewing out of the speakers annoyed her, but at least the songs had a catchy, loud beat. That was one thing that she could tolerate.
You must miss a lot of people back at your old place. But look towards the bright side. New place means new friends, and also new opportunities. You’re old home. Must’ve been nice. “Oh but it was! I miss having my dad’s fields to ride through with my favourite horses. I miss having chores to do. I miss my old friends. But what I guess I miss the most is that… comfortable feeling, you know? Here it’s all so new and unfamiliar… I just want that to go away.” She paused, looking down at her empty lap. “Maybe you’re right… besides if everyone here is as nice as you then I’ll have no problem adjusting.” She smiled. She was being dead serious though, because he was being very nice to her. Something that only the guys back in Texas seemed to do, and even there you would get the occasional jerk who tried to take advantage of you.
Sounds like story time. If you don’t mind, I’d like to hear more about those good ol’ days of your’s. Haleigh giggled, but since she had some alcohol in her system, she spoke. “Well, in the town that I come from, everyone knew each other by their first name. It was a cute little town, but the only thing that annoyed me was that everyone got into your own business. That is one thing that I can’t stand in people.” She paused, thinking. “My father has an eight acre ranch where he has some cows for milk, and some horses for recreational purposes.” She looked over at him, wondering where he was from. He hadn’t offered anything, but she was curious. “What about you, where are you from?” She asked, turning on her stool to face him. “What about your good ol’ days?” She chuckled, mocking herself but she was the type of girl who could laugh at herself.
Well, I’d like to say I’m one. It’s my dream to make it into the industry. Music is a passion of mine, a dream. It’s the one thing that saved me. Currently, I’m just producing and writing a couple demo songs at my buddy’s studio, and my own. Sorry for preaching. I can be like that at times. You want to be a singer also? That’s cool. We have a lot in common. We should do a duet one of these days. It’ll be my honour to be singing alongside a girl like you. Hales’ cheeks coloured again, especially from his last comment. She didn’t usually get things like that said to her. “Yeah, who knew that we’d have so much in common? I know what you mean about it saving you, especially during the really hard times. And a duet? Gosh, that sounds like a great idea! I have never done a duet before, have you?” She was really talkative right now, but so was he, so it was okay.
That’s good to hear. I might be able to run into you more often. Ah, from Texas? Heard it’s a wonderful place. Haleigh nodded, her eyes shining brightly at the prospect of seeing him more. “That sounds great.” She said, smiling again. Nothing beats ice cold beer. It’s the least I can do No need to thank me. Haleigh nodded, another thing that they seemed to have in common. Of course she probably had that in common with a bunch of guys, but still, all she was interested in right now was Ty. It’s the least I can do. No need to thank me. Haleigh smiled, “Of course there is, not everyone just randomly comes up to me and offers to pay for my bar tab. That takes courage. And maybe a well paying job to back that up.” She laughed, “Especially when it’s my tab.” She winked, and then turned on her stool ordering herself a fourth beer. This time she sipped at it more slowly, to pace herself.
oh oh see: having them talk a lot helps to add length lol.

The music was banging, and also catchy. It was a few trendy hip-hop and rap songs that were shuffling through the bar's playlist. Ty noticed that Haleigh wasn't really feeling the music, at least it was a gut feeling of his, seeing how she came from the south. She looked liked more of a country girl, and country music was something that Ty liked also. Nonetheless, Ty also liked hip-hop and rap, mostly for their beats, having seen so much awful lyrics coming these past few years. Although some of these songs had some good lyrics that he could relate to, most of them were about girls, money, or gangsters. Which had no really important matter whatsoever, and the artists had to spew them in a such a atrocious manner. Ty loved any type of genre in music, it was something he liked to experiment with in his own music.
“Oh but it was! I miss having my dad’s fields to ride through with my favourite horses. I miss having chores to do. I miss my old friends. But what I guess I miss the most is that… comfortable feeling, you know? Here it’s all so new and unfamiliar… I just want that to go away. Maybe you’re right… besides if everyone here is as nice as you then I’ll have no problem adjusting.” It was wonderful to listen to Haleigh talk about her good times. He could see the sparkle of joy in her eyes. "Horseback riding? That sounds a bit scary to me. I, myself, haven't seen a horse in person yet in my life, and, well honest, kind of intimidated to get on one." Ty paused, while chuckling a bit. "Perhaps you'll teach me one day." Ty ordered another glass of beer, and then took a couple more sips of it while sighing with joy. "Yeah, it's hard to leave all that behind. You start missing all the small things that you've never really noticed. That comfortable feeling must be sort of indescribable right? A feeling of home, a feeling of protection in a way. I mean, after all, it was the place where you grew up, and the place where all those wonderful times are at." Ty paused for a second, taking in a gulp of beer. "It'd be a shame if you went away though. Not everyone here will be friendly and all, it's just how the world is, but I'll be there to help your transition here be that much more enjoyable and smooth.." Ty paused again. The alcohol was now sort of going through his system. "Besides, if you left.. I know one person that'd miss you." Ty then smiled. He was fully aware of what he was saying, but it was like Haleigh said. Alcohol just makes you more bold.
Haleigh then continued on about her good ol' times. Ty could never get tired of what she had to say. "Well, in the town that I come from, everyone knew each other by their first name. It was a cute little town, but the only thing that annoyed me was that everyone got into your own business. That is one thing that I can’t stand in people. My father has an eight acre ranch where he has some cows for milk, and some horses for recreational purposes.” Ty took in a second to let all her words seep in before responding. "You knew everyone by first name? That's pretty cool. It's as if that town you grew up in was like one big family in a way. It probably wasn't rare at all that people would hear about other people's business. Although it really isn't something that they should be doing. I respect other people's business, and I'll help them if they ask for it." Ty said as he pictured how that small town would be. The whole thought of it was awesome. It left an intrigued look on his face. "Eight acre ranch? You must've been well off then. Also some cows and horses. I, myself, never really raised an animal before." Ty said, now picturing Haleigh's father's eight acre ranch, seeing horses running around and cows grazing in the grass. It was definitely a sight to see.
“What about you, where are you from? What about your good ol’ days?” Haleigh then face Ty. He couldn't escape it. I mean, he already had her tell her own share of stories. Ty smiled. "Guess I couldn't of skipped it." Ty joked. "Well, I grew up a couple miles outside this town, and to tell you the truth, my childhood, or life in general wasn't that great." Ty took a moment to reminisce. "The neighborhood I lived in was, well, it wasn't all that great. My family had economic problems, and I didn't have anywhere to go. School wasn't really 'school' if you know what I mean. Violence was around every corner. School was just a temporary safe haven from it. Although that was also where all the plans were hatched." Ty paused, and took in a couple sips of alcohol. "I, myself, believe it or not, took part in a gang at one point in my life. It was in my early-mid teen years. I fought to survive I guess. I did drugs, and I had my fair share of getting my butt jumped and beaten to a pulp. What goes around, comes around they say back in the streets." Ty paused again. "Let's just say I lost quite of bit of friends to the street life. I haven't heard of them in a while, and I knew that this wasn't what I wanted to do." Ty paused for a moment to recollect himself, while looking up. "Sorry about that. I might've just killed the mood eh? But, I do have good times." Ty said, while now giving a smile to reassure Haleigh that nothing was wrong. "Look at me now right? I'm doing pretty well for myself I guess. What I said about music saving myself wasn't a joke at all. As corny as it sounds, that was what music did for me." Ty chuckled lightly. "I joined a local church choir, to just get away from everything. They said I had very good vocals, and I started from there. It was where I discovered my talent, and where my love for music started. From there, I just built upon it. I completely through my old life away, and started anew. From there, the good times begin you know? And meeting you adds another good time in my book." Ty said. Hoping that he hadn't really just killed the mood by ranting about his life story. He was now sort of regretting telling Haleigh about himself, which probably now changed her mind about who he really was. He might've just turned her off by telling her he wasn't a great guy back in the days. Well, it was what he had to do. Once he started, he couldn't stop. "Well, that's that." Ty jokingly said. "And the rest is still unwritten."
“Yeah, who knew that we’d have so much in common? I know what you mean about it saving you, especially during the really hard times. And a duet? Gosh, that sounds like a great idea! I have never done a duet before, have you?” Ty saw her blush a bit. It must've been from the alcohol. "Yeah, we might have more alike than we really know. I know, music gets people through in life, at least I know for me and you." Ty said as he smiled. "I've never actually done a duet with a girl before, more so with my buddies. Although we don't really get to recording a good one because we mess around too much. I'm really looking forward to singing with you." Ty said. He meant it. He really was looking forward to sing along with Haleigh. She'd probably had a voice of an angel from the judgement of her voice.
“That sounds great.” Ty didn't have to respond to this. He looked forward to seeing her, at least at any given time and moment. They seemed to click well, which was sort of rare for Ty himself. I mean, he would usually get along well, but not to this level. “Of course there is, not everyone just randomly comes up to me and offers to pay for my bar tab. That takes courage. And maybe a well paying job to back that up. Especially when it’s my tab.” Ty laughed. "Well, call me a brave guy then." Ty jokingly said. "As you say, alcohol makes one more bold."
OOC: Haha. Yeah. I'm going to use it as much as I can. ^^

She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Horseback riding? That sounds a bit scary to me. I, myself, haven’t seen a horse in person yet in my life, and well honest, kind of intimidated to get on one. Perhaps you’ll teach me one day. Haleigh nodded, her eyes bright again. “I’d love to teach you! Honestly, once you learn the basics how to ride a horse, it is just so… much fun. I love the sense of freedom I get when I’m galloping through a wide open field, like nobody can stop you and you’re the one in charge.” She looked over at him, her words coming out evenly but loud enough to be heard over the music. Yeah, it’s hard to leave all that behind. You start missing all the small things that you’ve never really noticed. That comfortable feeling must be sort of indescribable right? A feeling of home, a feeling of protection in a way. I mean, after all, it was the place where you grew up, and the place where all those wonderful times are at. It’d be a shame if you went away though. Not everyone here will be friendly and all, it’s just how the world is, but I’ll be there to help your transition here be that much more enjoyable and smooth. Besides, if you left… I know one person that’d miss you. Haleigh could tell that the alcohol was now starting to flow through his system stronger. But she felt touched by his words. “Yeah, that’s the type of feeling. I haven’t ever moved before so this, being my first time, is obviously hard.” Pausing, she looked down at her lap. “Thank you - that means a lot.” Her words were sincere, but would he believe her?
You knew everyone by first name? That’s pretty cool. It’s as if that town you grew up in was like one big family in a way. It probably wasn’t rare at all that people would hear about other people’s business. Although it isn’t something that they should be doing. I respect other people’s business, and I’ll help them if they ask for it. Haleigh nodded, he knew how to say the perfect words, even with alcohol in his system. “I do miss the feeling of being cared and worried about though, that was the best part. To know that no matter how rude our neighbour was, she really did care about everyone. In her own way.” Haleigh looked over at Ty, who was starting to speak up again. Eight acre ranch? You must’ve been well off then. Also some cows and horses. I, myself, never really raised an animal before. Haleigh smiled, “I am actually considering buying a puppy soon, so I would have something to take care of. I am so used to having to do chores, getting up early and stuff like that because I had done that all of my life. Now that I don’t have it - I feel… useless.” It had taken her a moment to find a word, but now that she had she closed her mouth. The scariest part of this conversation was the fact that she felt as though she had known Ty her whole life. ‘Too bad I haven’t…’ she thought wistfully to herself, keeping a smile on her lips.
Guess I couldn’t of skipped it. Well I grew up a couple miles outside this town, and to tell you the truth, my childhood, or life in general wasn’t that great. The neighbourhood I lived in was, well, it wasn’t all that great. My family had economic problems, and I didn’t have anywhere to go. School wasn’t really ‘school’ if you know what I mean. Violence was around every corner. School was just a temporary safe haven from it. Although that was also where all the plans were hatched. I, myself, believe it or not, took part in a gang at one point in my life. It was in my early-mid teen years. I fought to survive I guess. I did drugs, and I had my fair share of getting my butt jumped and beaten to a pulp. What goes around, comes around they say back in the streets. Let’s just say I lost quite a bit of friends to the street life. I haven’t heard of them in a while, and I knew that this wasn’t what I wanted to do. Sorry about that. I might’ve just killed the mood, eh? But, I do have good times. Look at me now right? I’m doing pretty well for myself I guess. What I said about music saving myself wasn’t a joke at all. As corny as it sounds, that was what music did for me. I joined a local church choir, to just get away from everything. They said I had very good vocals, and I started from there. It was where I discovered my talent, and where my love for music started. From there, I just built upon it. I completely through my old life away, and started anew. From there, the good times begin you know? And meeting you adds another good time in my book. Well that’s it. And the rest is still unwritten.
Haleigh took a moment to soak all of his words in. He seemed like a pretty tough guy, having gone through all of that and still find the bright side in life. She smiled, “Wow, and I thought I had it bad when my mother passed away when I was six… Geez, going a gang? I would not have pegged you for one of those guys, especially after talking to you! You seem way to nice to have been in a gang.” Haleigh knew that anybody could have done drugs in their pasts, there wasn’t really a look for that, or at least in her opinion. Haleigh had strong opinions on things, but she didn’t offer them much unless she was under the influence. “At least you haven’t gotten hurt, well I mean, at least you’re with us today. I’ve heard of some pretty sketchy stuff going on in a gang. I’ve never joined one… the town that I was from didn’t have any.” She paused, thinking. “There was maybe the odd farmer or too that smoked pot, but that was it in the town I was from for drugs. I wouldn’t want to try them anyways… I haven’t ever had that desire to. I rebelled against my father by drinking, although once I found out that he didn’t quite mind, I slowed down with that. I think that that’s how he controlled me.” She laughed out loud, it finally made sense: the only reason why her father had pretended to not care, was so that she would just stop drinking. And low and behold - it had worked! She shook her head, still amazed by her father’s methods. And she had always thought he was a lousy father, more like a best friend.
Yeah, we might have more alike than we really know. I know, music gets people through in life, at least I know for me and you. I’ve never actually done a duet with a girl before, more so with my buddies. Although we don’t really get to recording a good one because we mess around too much. I’m really looking forward to singing with you. Haleigh’s cheeks warmed even more, the colour turning from a bright pink to a bright red. She glanced away, her eyes shining. “I bet that we’re going to sound pretty good together. I can’t wait to hear your voice too…” She let her voice trail away for a moment, thinking. “I always used to watch the duet music videos and performances when I was home because I just always thought they were so beautiful. There is just something about a women’s voice and a man’s singing together that makes my heart skip a beat.” She paused, her eyes widening. “Oops, maybe I’m talking too much now!” Her blush had faded, but now that she admitted to talking to much, she lowered her eyes so that she wouldn’t blush. She took a sip of her beer, the coolness calming her nerves.
Well, call me a brave guy then. As you say, alcohol makes one more bold. Haleigh smiled, “Yeah, you definitely have to be one stoic kind of guy! Either that, or you haven’t paid attention to a word I’ve been saying this whole time.” She was joking of course, winking to him. She took another sip of her beer, she was about half way done it. She looked out over the dance floor, watching the people dance to the fast paced music. She sighed, and returned her gaze back to Ty, wondering if he was one for dancing or if he would rather sit and talk. Either way she didn’t mind, but she was kind of hoping to get up and stretch her legs. “Want to dance?” She blurted out, and then flashed an awkward smile after that. She wished that she could control herself. What was wrong with her? She never had problems speaking to complete strangers before - although it wasn’t like she considered Ty that. She felt as though she had known him her whole life. Well, at least she knew just about his whole life. The parts that he was willing to tell, that is. She looked down, after taking another sip from her cold beer. She kept her eyes down for a few moments and then lifted them and let them settle on the sweaty crowds.
oh oh see: haha, that’s what I love to do!

“I’d love to teach you! Honestly, once you learn the basics how to ride a horse, it is just so… much fun. I love the sense of freedom I get when I’m galloping through a wide open field, like nobody can stop you and you’re the one in charge.” Ty smiled. "Alright, I'll just have to take that offer then. If you're ever going to head back to Texas, I hope you don't mind me tagging along. You can see how embarrassed I'm going be. If horse riding is going to sound half as great as you make it to be, I'm glad to learn it from a pro like you." The music was getting a bit loud, but Ty still heard what she had to say, and he still got his word across the always rhythmic tunes. He took another sip of alcohol. Although a bit buzzed, he still had full control over himself, and enough to keep him from doing anything stupid. “Yeah, that’s the type of feeling. I haven’t ever moved before so this, being my first time, is obviously hard. Thank you - that means a lot.” Ty smiled. "I'm glad." Ty said sincerely.
The two weren't exactly completely sober, but they were a little buzzed, but just a little bit. “I do miss the feeling of being cared and worried about though, that was the best part. To know that no matter how rude our neighbour was, she really did care about everyone. In her own way.” Ty nodded and listened to what Haleigh had to say over the loud music. "It's always nice to have someone care and worry about ya. No matter what they do, in the end it's all for good intentions." Ty continued to smile, and continued to drink. It kept coming non stop. “I am actually considering buying a puppy soon, so I would have something to take care of. I am so used to having to do chores, getting up early and stuff like that because I had done that all of my life. Now that I don’t have it - I feel… useless.” Ty chuckled a bit. "A puppy eh? Any ideas on the name for it?" Ty paused. "You must've grown quite attached to chores." Ty joked. "Yeah, I know how it feels. When you have nothing to do, it feels sort of empty in a way. Well, let's just agree now, that if we both never have anything to do, we'll just have to find each other some way to make ourselves not feel useless." Ty smiled. Haleigh felt like a very close friend in a way, but then again, they had just met. It was an uncanny feeling, but it was a feeling he liked. They seemed to have been long lost friends from another lifetime.
“Wow, and I thought I had it bad when my mother passed away when I was six… Geez, going a gang? I would not have pegged you for one of those guys, especially after talking to you! You seem way to nice to have been in a gang.” She saw Haleigh smile, so right then, he knew that she wasn't turned off by the fact about his dysfunctional past, but he also did hear about Haleigh's mother's passing. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Must've been tough losing her at such a young age." Ty said in an apologetic tone. "And thanks. It means a lot coming from you." Ty said continuing in that slow, soft, apologetic manner. Haleigh was very understanding, which was wonderful. They could connect on almost any issue, whether if it was touchy or not. He felt so comfortable just being around her.
“At least you haven’t gotten hurt, well I mean, at least you’re with us today. I’ve heard of some pretty sketchy stuff going on in a gang. I’ve never joined one… the town that I was from didn’t have any. There was maybe the odd farmer or too that smoked pot, but that was it in the town I was from for drugs. I wouldn’t want to try them anyways… I haven’t ever had that desire to. I rebelled against my father by drinking, although once I found out that he didn’t quite mind, I slowed down with that. I think that that’s how he controlled me."
Ty had the chance to listen to another one of her delightful life stories. It was always a joy. "Yeah. I'm just happy to have been able to make it to today. Good thing you were blessed with a fairly wonderful community. A couple pot smoking farmers shouldn't have caused too much trouble for ya. It's good that you stay away from drugs and all. It can do quite a bit of damage to the body. Looks like you gotta thank your father for your adventures in alcohol then." Ty chuckled. "Your father sounds like one heck of a guy." Ty said as he smiled.
Ty continued to drown himself in alcohol. However, he was keeping tabs on how much he had been drinking, before deciding to stop indefinitely. He noticed Haleigh blush for a moment. The alcohol must've kicking in for her. Her body must've started to feel warm and fuzzy all over. “I bet that we’re going to sound pretty good together. I can’t wait to hear your voice too… I always used to watch the duet music videos and performances when I was home because I just always thought they were so beautiful. There is just something about a women’s voice and a man’s singing together that makes my heart skip a beat. Oops, maybe I’m talking too much now!”
Ty just smiled. "I have a feeling we're going to make a track that'll hit gold." Ty chuckled lightly. "It does doesn't it? A beautiful duet done right is one of the most touching things in the world. It can just leave a guy speechless." Ty could tell Haleigh was getting a little excited. He was too in fact. "Oh no, not at all." Ty said, as in response for Haleigh stating that she had been talking too much. “Yeah, you definitely have to be one stoic kind of guy! Either that, or you haven’t paid attention to a word I’ve been saying this whole time.” Ty laughed lightly at her comment. He saw her give a wink at him. "Maybe."
Ty took a gaze out into the dance floor. He just had to dance now, because the crave for it was just too strong. As he returned to look at Haleigh, she was looking at him also. “Want to dance?” A feeling of instant gratification ran through his veins. "I was just going to ask you that." Ty said as he got up off his seat. He stretched out a bit, and finished his glass of beer. After a couple moments, he was all ready to go. He extended one of his hands out. "May I?" Ty asked as he awaited for Haleigh to take his hand and enter the dance floor. This was going to be fun. Ty was a bit of a hip-hop dancer, but he knew how to club also. He also had a feeling that Haleigh was going to be quite the dancer. There was just something about her.

She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Alright, I’ll just have to take that offer then. If you’e ever going to head back to Texas, I hope you don’t mind me tagging along. You can see how embarrassed I’m going to be. If horse riding is going to sound half as great as you make it to be, I’m glad to learn it from a pro like you. Haleigh smiled, “Sounds great to me. I’d love you to come and see what my little town looks like. And my father’s beautiful ranch. Oh! And my awesome horses. I’ve got three and my father has two.” She smiled again, getting excited now. Making that trip back home won’t be as hard or lonely if she has someone sitting right next to her. Someone that she knew. Someone exactly like Ty. “I’m not sure when I will go back though… I mean it’s going to be hard to leave again, won’t it?” She was still unsure about all of this, she hadn’t ever moved away from home - except to come here. And this being her first move, well she still had a lot of things to learn. I’m glad. Haleigh nodded, “Me two.” She was starting to get more alcohol flowing through her veins, which resulted in more blabbing coming from her mouth. She looked down, wishing that she could slow down the flow or something, but then again he didn’t seem to want to leave the conversation anytime soon, so maybe it was okay that she was talking a lot. Maybe that’s what she needed to do more often.
It’s always nice to have someone care and worry about ya. No matter what they do, in the end it’s all for good intentions. Haleigh nodded, she couldn’t believe how well he understood her. “Exactly. I miss that feeling, I really do.” She let her voice fade away into the music, because he looked like he was going to speak again. A puppy eh? Any ideas on the name for it? You must’ve grown quite attached to chores. Yeah, I know how it feels. When you have nothing to do, it feels sort of empty in a way. Well, let’s just agree now, that if we both never have anything to do, we’ll just have to find each other some way to make ourselves not feel useless. Haleigh nodded, again mutually agreeing with him. “That sounds like a plan. But I’m warning you, you better hold up your end of the bargain.” She tried to make her face look serious for a moment, but a small smile remained on her lips that she couldn’t quite feel. “I’m thinking Jake if it’s a boy, and Corro if it’s a girl. Jake was my first pony, my dad had bought me when I was eight years old. And Corro was the name of my dad’s first horse.” She smiled again. If she realized just how much she was smiling she would have smacked herself across the face. Either that or she would have excused herself and hid from everyone. She couldn’t believe how happy she was feeling though. Sure, some of that went to the booze in her system, but she knew that some went to the fact that she had run into such a nice gentleman.
Oh, I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Must’ve been tough losing her at such a young age. And thanks. It means a lot coming from you. Haleigh felt her cheeks warm again at the compliment. She had never had so many compliments given to her in such a short period of time. “Thank you. Yeah - it was really hard. Especially on my father who had to run the whole ranch, and raise me, at the same time - by himself.” She paused, wanting to bring herself back here instead of falling into old memories that just made her miserable. “But then my Uncle Joe, my dad’s brother, came over and he stayed with us - helping out at the farm. That helped a lot, just that one extra pair of hands.” She looked down for a moment, and then realized that Ty had spoken more. “Thank you, that makes me feel special.” She said, laughing a little, but she was speaking in all honesty. She couldn’t remember a time when she’d received so many compliments - in even a day! She looked over at him, amazed at how he could be so nice to a stranger. A complete stranger.
Yeah. I’m just happy to have been able to make it to today. Good thing you were blessed with a fairly wonderful community. A couple pot smoking farmers shouldn’t have caused too much trouble for ya. It’s good that you stay away from drugs and all. It can do quite a bit of damage to the body. Looks like you gotta thank your father for your adventures in alcohol then. You father sounds like one heck of a guy. Haleigh listened to his words, soaking them in again so that she would be able to reply on topic. “Yeah, they never caused any trouble. Sure the odd teenager would try them but as soon as his parents found his stash, they threw it out and that was the end of that.” She thought about his words some more. “Well back in my old town, inheriting your farm is really important. And if you’re caught doing stupid stuff like drugs, well you don’t get that farm. Which means that you’re on your own in the real world.” Haleigh looked around. “Which is a lot harder than anyone thinks.” She looked back at him, smiling at his comment about her father. “Yeah, he’s a swell guy. I’m really close to him now, but even when I was little I was closer to my father than my mother. I have no idea why.” She looked away for a moment, memories flooding her vision. She took a sip of her beer to clear them away.
I have a feeling we’re going to make a track that’ll hit gold. It does doesn’t it? A beautiful duet done right is one of the most touching things in the world. It can just leave a guy speechless. Oh no, not al all. Haleigh smiled, she loved the fact that he seemed to have the same opinions as she did. But they had enough that wasn’t common with one another to be able to get along. “Exactly what I was thinking.” She said, and then remembered his last few words. “Oh - well thank you. Just tell me when to shut up… alcohol messes with my brain a bit too much sometimes.” She admitted, looking up into his eyes. She caught his wink, and smiled. Maybe. She didn’t comment on that because she wasn’t sure if he was joking about not listening, whatever he was joking about she didn’t care - he had winked at her which sent shivers down her spine. This alcohol was really getting to her mind! She finished off the fourth beer, and then refused to get more. She really needed to try to sober up a bit more. She knew for a fact that if she got another she would start to slur her words a bit more, and loose even more control of her mouth and body.
I was just going to ask you that. May I? Haleigh smiled, “Yes, of course.” She said, taking his hand after getting up and straightening out her clothes. She held his warm hand in her small one, as he led her out onto the dance floor. It was a fast paced song, but she knew how to dance in clubs that weren’t full of country fans. She started to sway her hips to the music and then slowly got her whole body into it, dancing close to Ty. She didn’t quite want to leave him, what if she lost him in the crowds? Then she’d have to drive home drunk… which wasn’t going to be good at all. She puzzled over that in her mind. She might have to get a taxi or something. But then again, she didn’t want to leave her car here because she had put a lot of money into that thing. She didn’t know why she had done all of those jobs to it, but she liked how it was looking better and better. First off she had lowered it, then she added chrome spinners onto it. If you judged someone by what kind of car they drove, then you could easily peg Hales for a city chick. Except for the fact that she’d gotten the letters Yee-haw! across her back windshield and she had a little cowboy hat stick on the back bumper, so that she could find her car easily in the parking lot. There was a lot of black Cobalt SS’s around nowadays.
oh oh see: and you were worried about not being able to post much! This is really, really good lol. At least I got this out early, I’m taking driver’s ed - in class right now so I’m gone for a good chunk of the day. I will be able to get on later tonight and reply though.

“Sounds great to me. I’d love you to come and see what my little town looks like. And my father’s beautiful ranch. Oh! And my awesome horses. I’ve got three and my father has two.” Ty smiled. Sounds like some possible future plans. "Alright then. Whenever you're gonna head back, be sure to notify me." It would've been quite exciting actually to head over to a new place after being stuck around in the same area for his whole life. A place a fresh air, and freedom from everything. There were also going to be some free horse riding lessons thrown in by a nice, and attractive girl that seemed to be easy to connect with. “I’m not sure when I will go back though… I mean it’s going to be hard to leave again, won’t it?” Ty gave a slight nod. "It would be kind of hard. Then again, we aren't in any rush at all. So, take all the time you need before deciding to head back." Ty said, as he gave a grin. After all, Haleigh had only moved here for a short while. She should spend a little bit more time adjusting to her new lifestyle before returning to her old, at least in Ty's opinion. “Me two.” Ty just grinned.
Ty had a couple of drinks already, so he decided to put it on pause, just in case Haleigh seemed to have one too many, he might've had to help her get home in one piece. Then again, she might've drove here, and Ty could serve as a slightly buzzed, but still focused, designated driver. Whatever the case may be, he had to keep sober, at least one of them had to. “Exactly. I miss that feeling, I really do.” Ty gave a slight nod. "You don't have to miss it. I'm sure that feeling will return with proper due time living here." Ty said in an optimistic manner. “That sounds like a plan. But I’m warning you, you better hold up your end of the bargain.” Ty chuckled lightly. "Don't worry. As long as I'm breathing and available, I'll be sure to kick it back with ya. Speaking of which, mind if I ask for your cellphone number? That way we can bug each other all we want." Ty said, while still chuckling a bit. He made a bold request for her number, hopefully it didn't seem like some sloppy way as an advancement to get into her personal life. He noticed how she made that statement with a false held serious face, which was released shortly afterwards and followed with a smile. “I’m thinking Jake if it’s a boy, and Corro if it’s a girl. Jake was my first pony, my dad had bought me when I was eight years old. And Corro was the name of my dad’s first horse.” Ty was still thinking about asking for her number earlier. Was it a mistake? "Jake and Corro huh? That's cool. Naming them like that might help you cope with homesickness." Ty said with a smile. He noticed how Haleigh had been smiling almost non stop for a while. It's not as if Ty had been doing the same. They were both probably exchanging smiles for the whole time without them knowing, but that's what alcohol can do to a person.
“Thank you. Yeah - it was really hard. Especially on my father who had to run the whole ranch, and raise me, at the same time - by himself. But then my Uncle Joe, my dad’s brother, came over and he stayed with us - helping out at the farm. That helped a lot, just that one extra pair of hands.” It was nice to hear that Haleigh made it through those hard times, with the help and support from her family members. After all, losing a family member was very tough. "Glad to know that you and your family made it through. I think it's wonderful how all of you thrive on the support and love from one another. It's just so great to hear." Ty said sincerely. He didn't exactly ever had the opportunity to be blessed with love from his family, but he made the most out of it. Having friends that were almost like family, he could at least to relate to it to some level. “Thank you, that makes me feel special.” Ty smiled. "You should really feel that way more often." Ty said as he continued smiling. Although Ty had been stating one compliment after another, he meant them sincerely. Then again, the alcohol had some effect on the number of compliments he'd thrown out. Usually, he'd stick for only a couple and then stop there. This time, it seemed to just be everywhere.
“Yeah, they never caused any trouble. Sure the odd teenager would try them but as soon as his parents found his stash, they threw it out and that was the end of that. Well back in my old town, inheriting your farm is really important. And if you’re caught doing stupid stuff like drugs, well you don’t get that farm. Which means that you’re on your own in the real world. Which is a lot harder than anyone thinks.” Haleigh had a lot to say, but Ty took in every word of it, even over the loud music in the background. "Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple teenagers here and there experiment with drugs. It's the rave these days." Ty paused. "A farm must've been like a family treasure, or a legacy of some sort. I'm guessing the parents must deem their child worthy or not of inheriting or not so they can carry on the lifeline of the farm." Ty paused again. "Living the life in the harsh reality of what we call the real word sounds a lot harder than life on an inherited farm." Ty wondered about the thought of life back where Haleigh had lived. It must've been a very tight knit community by the way she made it sound. A place that's determined to rid the place of any drug influence of any sort. Perhaps even maybe a utopia of some sort. He then heard her comment about her father. “Yeah, he’s a swell guy. I’m really close to him now, but even when I was little I was closer to my father than my mother. I have no idea why.” Ty smiled. "Seems like he's more of your best friend."
Ty felt a little bit better after pausing on the drinks. His mind felt less clouded, and everything seemed to go a bit faster. “Exactly what I was thinking. Oh - well thank you. Just tell me when to shut up… alcohol messes with my brain a bit too much sometimes.” Ty smiled at her comment. "I wont ever have to tell you to shut up. I enjoy talking to you, whether if it's about something important, or something irrelevant." Ty said as he continued to smile. "It's true though. Too much alcohol can play tricks on the mind." It looks as if Haleigh thought she had a bit too many to drink. Ty thought she looked fine, but he noticed that her drinking had slowed down. It was good, after all, too much alcohol wasn't always a good thing.
“Yes, of course.” It looks like Ty got what he was craving for the entire evening. A chance to finally hit the dance floor, and not just with anyone, but with Haleigh. She took his hand and led them there. Her hand felt warm, and soft, it was a wonderful feeling. The song at the moment was fast paced, and a hit song at the moment on the charts. Ty gave a look at Haleigh, who started to move along to the music. Boy, could she swing her hips, and boy could she move. It would just leave any man wanting more. After Ty got his head back in order, he started to groove along towards the song. He moved his body along in a rhythmic manner, following the beat of the song. Haleigh was quite the dancer, and Ty wasn't going to disappoint her. He kept close to Haleigh, not wanting to lose her in sight, and in the crowd. Ty wanted to make sure he was always close to her. Maybe because he was afraid of having her go home by herself while she had a couple drinks, or maybe he just wanted to groove along with her all night.
OOC: Ah, it's all do the massive quotings. My posts will gradually grow smaller and smaller. Sorry for taking so long to return a post. I've been running out of thoughts and ideas lately. Have fun in drivers.

She was a big star at Banana Joe’s Bar, Where she sang karaoke every night. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Alright then. Whenever you’re gonna head back, be sure to notify me. Haleigh nodded, smiling. “I definitely will do that.” She was yet again, telling the truth to him. She had a feeling that she wouldn’t be able to ever lie to Ty. There was just something about him that made her want to be more honest than she normally was. Hales was naturally a very kind, understanding and honest girl. Sure, the odd lie here and there wasn’t going to kill her - and the people she was more willing to lie to where strangers anyways. She was pulled away from her thoughts when she heard his already familiar voice. It would be kind of hard. Then again, we aren’t in any rush at all. So, take all the time you need before deciding to head back. Haleigh nodded, “I suppose that I need to give this change in lifestyle a chance then. Maybe, if I ever do go back, it would be for a weekend or something… I think that I need to get out of my father’s hair for a couple years. Considering the fact that he’d bought the plane tickets and urged me to leave.” She looked away, thinking. “Maybe I’ll even be able to start up my own horse ranch here… then I won’t have to miss home so much.” She was just throwing ideas out there, but she had a funny feeling that she would eventually do that in the future, why not? She had a really good talent with horses.
You don’t have to miss it. I’m sure that feeling will return with proper due time living here. Haleigh nodded, not saying anything. She didn’t need to - all she needed to do was give this place a chance to show its true colours to her. She just needed to be patient for the first time in her life. That was one of her flaws: being impatient. She never had any patience growing up and still didn’t have any. Maybe it was time to learn to get some. Don’t worry. As long as I’m breathing and available, I’ll be sure to kick it back with ya. Speaking of which, mind if I ask for your cell phone number? That way we can bug each other all we want. Haleigh was surprised, that’s for sure. But then again, she wasn’t angry that he was asking for her number. She had to admit that deep down, she was slightly worried that she wouldn’t be able to see him again. But if he had her cell number and if she had his, then she would be able to see him again - which is what she wanted. For sure. “Sure, as long as I get yours.” She winked, and then continued on. “It‘s 614 - 762 - 0091.” She looked over at him because he was going to be speaking again. Jake and Corro huh? That’s cool. Naming them like that might help you cope with homesickness. Haleigh nodded, she sure hoped that it would. “Yeah - that’s the plan.” She said, smiling over at him again.
Glad to know that you and your family made it through. I think it’s wonderful how all of you thrive on the support and love from one another. It’s just so great to hear. Haleigh nodded. Maybe she had always taken her family for granted - but hearing Ty’s words, she realized just how lucky she was. “I guess that the saying ‘you don’t realize how much you love someone until they’re gone’ is actually true. I suppose that I just always took my family for granted. I mean I appreciated their help - but I just never thought twice that I might be away from them for such a long time like right now.” She looked down, she felt bad. She should know about this - her mother was gone, wasn’t she? But still, Hales barely remembered her mother - she had been too little. It was much different from her dad and uncle Joe. You should really feel that way more often. She looked away, she had a hard time accepting compliments, and had this idea in her head that she didn’t deserve to feel happy - especially since she was here without her family. Maybe she was just screwed up in the head. Whatever the case, Hales had thought that way since she was very young, after her mother’s car crash. Since that horrible day, Haleigh was selfless - thinking about others rather than herself.
Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple teenagers here and there experiment with drugs. It’s the rave these days. A farm must’ve been like a family treasure, or a legacy of some sort. I’m guessing the parents must deem their child worthy or not of inheriting or not so they can carry on the lifeline of the farm. Living the life in the harsh reality of what we call the real world sounds a lot harder than life on an inherited farm. Haleigh thought about his words, and then carefully planned on what she should say. It was hard since she wasn’t sober anymore, but she tried. “That’s exactly what a farm was - a legacy. The farm name was the family’s last name, and so the son took it over when he married someone.” She looked away for a moment. “Living and working on a farm is a lot harder than people tend to think it is. You have to go to be at like ten at night because you’re getting up at three or four in the morning. And you have to keep an eye on the cows that are about to give birth, and if it happens in the middle of the night, you’re out there helping the cow.” She paused. “It is definitely a 24/7 job really. And it’s demanding work too - I’m not talking about just milking the cows. My dad had a crop too: hay, which you have to bale and then sell or store. That takes all summer long, on the hottest days.” She looked at Ty, wanting to show him that the farm was a lot harder than he seemed to think it was.
Seems like he’s more of your best friend. Haleigh nodded, “Yeah, that’s what I consider him most of the time.” She admitted, taking another sip of her fourth beer. She really needed to get a water next time, her mouth was starting to get that fuzzy feeling that she always got when she needed a drink when she was drinking alcohol. I won’t ever have to tell you to shut up. I enjoy talking to you, whether it’s about something important or something irrelevant. It’s true though. Too much alcohol can play tricks on the mind. Haleigh nodded, smiling again. “Well good - because let me just tell you that I’m a hard girl to try to shut up.” She smiled, a flawless bright smile that lit up her whole face. “At least you know what I’m talking about - so you can excuse my blabbing.” She winked, letting her eyes linger on his face before looking out over the crowds, taking another swing of her beer. She watched people dance and wondered if any of them knew how to country line dance. Probably not.
When they were on the dance floor, dancing along to the loud music, Haleigh’s cheeks started to flush a pink colour. But it wasn’t just from the movement she was now doing - it was because of Ty dancing so close to her. She liked how he didn’t seem to want to loose her in the crowds, and well, she definitely didn’t want to get lost in the crowds. She wanted to remain right next to him, whether that was wrong or not. She smiled up at him as he continued to dance. He was a good dancer, she didn’t expect anything less from him. She figured that he had experience in the club scene, and like any other young man, he would know how to handle himself out there to impress the ladies. Hales smiled, boy was he sure ever impressing her. She didn’t do anything, but she would have loved to be held in his arms. She resisted the urge, blaming the alcohol that was behind most of her judgement right now. She wished that she hadn’t drunk so much, maybe she would be able to figure out how she felt. But then again, feelings like this were hard to understand, she was just glad that she was able to enjoy this evening with a man that seemed responsible and trustworthy. Swaying her hips even faster, she moved closer to him, about half a millimetre away from him.
oh oh see: no problem - whatever you can manage to get out - I’m not picky. And thanks, tomorrow is my last day so I will be able to get on more after tomorrow. Thank God! I can’t stand being stuck in a classroom for six hours straight… fries my brain lol.
