I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Aaron shut his phone, slipping it back into one of the large pockets of his overalls. He was sweating like crazy; but he had some plans tonight; which made him happy. Akio Summers was new, she seemed to be quite the little girl. Sure, she was out of his age range, but he liked spending time with her. He felt kind of like her older brother. He’d never had a sister before but he couldn’t has asked for a better one than Akio. She was really nice; and even though she had troubles at home; she always seemed to enjoy spending time with Aaron. At least he could take her away from the pain for a little while. Which was what he planned on doing tonight. He had about forty-five minutes until he had to leave and pick her up, something that he did often enough. They would drive around; having a good ol’ time. She’d play with the radio and he’d roll down their windows. Then they’d stop for a bite to eat and she’d tell him that she could go home or if she wanted to stay out later he would keep on driving around with her. Sometimes they’d go to the park and talk or to the beach… he just really liked being able to talk to her. She was a real nice girl.
Time was starting to fly by; he already had done some brake changed on some cars and now he was working on a buddies’ truck. It had a gas leak; so Aaron was repairing some of the tubes that held the gas. This happened often enough; but it had been a little bit of an emergency considering his friend was taking his truck to a show this weekend. Aaron fixed the metal in a mater of ten minutes; he was a pro at what he did and he knew it. But that didn’t make him cocky about it - somehow he didn’t get a big head over it. He was just confident in what he did. Wiping his hands off on a rag he then shook his friends’ hand as he said goodbye. His friend backed out of the shop slowly; careful to not hit anything. Once he was straightening up the wheels; Aaron lifted his hand to return the wave his friend had just given him. Aaron turned and pulled his cell out of his pocket, only fifteen minutes until he had to punch out and go get ready. He sighed, running his hand through his hair. All day long the shop had been bustling but now it had slowed down; there was only a few vehicles in the large garage; some were up on the hoisters; others were on the ground.
Aaron walked over to the nearest one, a co-worker of his was looking in the hood, a confused look on his face. Aaron stepped closer; wondering what the problem was. He quickly pointed it out and the guy smacked his forehead. ’Thanks Aaron.’
Aaron smiled and nodded, turning and heading back to the other two cars. One was having an oil change, the other was having it’s brakes redone. He helped out both of the guys so that they could all punch out together; he often did this, more so at the end of their shifts so that they could all leave at the same time. It was just something that Aaron felt the need to do. Help the others so that they could get out of there. Some of them had families to go to; some had wives to help out. Aaron wished that he had someone at home to go to… he would just have to keep on waiting for that special someone to walk into his life. He had been pretty patient… it was just lately as he drove home, that he would see couples strolling along together holding hands, that he’d feel even more lonely. He didn’t know what was wrong with him. Why couldn’t he find a girl to settle down with him? All they wanted was a one night stand. Aaron looked at his cell phone, after wiping his hands off again - he had just finished helping the last guy. It was time to punch out. Aaron smiled, and hollered out to the other guys, Let’s get out of here guys! His voice echoing throughout the open shop. Aaron chuckled as they all yelled yes! He made his way to his locker; grabbing his clean clothes and headed towards the showers, something that Aaron used often at work. It was much easier to shower here and then just take off with a friend or something like that. Once he was all cleaned, he opened his cell and headed towards his truck in the parking lot. He looked down at his phone and texted Akio: hey, I just punched out and now I’m heading your way. He flipped his phone shut and then got into his truck. He sat in the driver’s seat for a moment; sighing because it was a relief to get some weight off of his feet. Putting his key into the ignition, he heard the diesel engine roar and smiled. Rolling down the windows he put on some background rap music, turning it up a bit. Buckling he put the truck into drive and headed towards Akio’s place. When he got there he pulled over to the curb and put the truck into park. He looked out the passenger window to watch the front door. If she didn’t come out soon, he’d go and ask for her. He wanted to rescue her from her torturous mother at least for a few hours…. He moved his hand, turning down the music, just a tad bit. Tag: Akio Summers Word Count: 1006 Comments: Erm - I’m happy I got it done. XD[/blockquote]

Sing to me the song of the stars. Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again. When it feels like my dreams are so far Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again. _______________________ Tossing her phone onto her pillow, Aiko sighed soon followed it with her head, curling up into a ball on her bed. It had been a quiet day…too quiet. She had sought refuge in her room all day so she was oblivious to the fact that her mother had drunken far too much, too early…again. When Aiko had left her room to get something to eat, shown her face downstairs, all hell had broken out. Aiko was blamed for nothing, again. Then when she opened her mouth to retaliate, her mother got vicious. Aiko swears she’s like a tiger or something, she always seems to scratch her and hit her, push her to the ground and hit her. If she could, Aiko would fight her back, but it was hard when she had someone twice her weight nearly on top of her, hands restraining her. Aiko hadn’t managed to get her food… She still had the dirty tearstains down her face, a mix of eyeliner and tears, and the red marks staining her smooth skin on her arms, and a scratch on her face. How could she go out with Aaron looking like this? She didn’t wear foundation, hated the stuff, it was like putting cement on your face. Therefore, she couldn’t hide it. However, she knew that no matter how much she hid her marks, Aaron would be the one to notice them. Therefore, there was no point wasting the energy she had left to worry about her painful marks. She smiled as she thought of Aaron. He was the first person to accept her for who she was, and hadn’t judged her. She loved spending time with Aaron…her big brother. For that was what he was like to her, a big brother. He was always kind and considerate, and most of all fun to be with. He was basically an older, male version of her. He was at work at that very moment, working his butt off trying to make his customers happy. He had told her that he wasn’t having that good of a day, people doing his head in. But she was happy of the fact that he could relax and have a good time with her. She loved going out with Aaron, he took her mind away from all the bad things and sugar coated them, turning them into wonderful things. She didn’t care if they were doing something outrageous, driving around, or just talking…as long as it was with Aaron. He was a real nice guy.
She hadn’t realised how much time had flown past by until she glanced back at her cell. All she had done was tidy her pit up, her room was a mess. Clothes everywhere, her laptop hidden under a mass of paper covered in random doodles and words. Her room was large, although mainly her black grand piano-her baby, took it up. She loved her piano, but hated the fact that she had to keep it in her room, where it mainly had clothes tossed onto it and dust settled around it. She hadn’t even thought about getting ready, yet alone picked out her clothes. Normally, she didn’t dress up with Aaron, because he seemed to appreciate anything she wore. As she stayed curled up on her bed she glanced in her open closet, trying to pick out something. Her long black soft boots caught her eye. She loved those boots. Along with her converse, they were her favourite shoes. She knew that her black skinny jeans would look awesome with them, and then finding a tee wouldn’t be hard, because she had tonnes of tank tops and graphic tees, enough to supply and clothing store. It was then that she knew that in order for her to be ready in time, she would have to get off her butt and change. She slowly walked to her closet. Her energy slowly creeping back, although she hadn’t had a chance to eat anything in hours…or drink any coffee. She was surprised that she was still awake. Moreover, she was surprised how fast she could put jeans on without falling over. Especially skinny’s. She slipped on a pink tank top and felt that it was silly for her to put her boots on now considering that she still had a while until Aaron picked her up. That was when she realised that her mother would not allow her out of her front door, and she would have to sneak around her. Unless she was passed out on the couch. But that was Aiko wishful thinking, and she knew that that wouldn’t be the case. But it wouldn’t had been the first time Aiko had shimmied down the drainpipe outside her bedroom.
Aiko looked in her mirror and sighed at the mess that looked back at her. The image infront of her wasn’t Aiko…it was a broken Aiko. Black streaks stained her face, the blue color in her eyes was washed out with the color of red, and the scratch that made her cheek stand out was still bleeding slightly. She knew that she would look like an idiot placing a plaster on it, so she had waited for it to stop bleeding. She wiped it, and prayed to god that it stopped bleeding before Aaron arrived in his truck. She ran her hands through her messy hair, it was always messy…looked normal messy. So she didn’t have to put all her effort in doing that. She dabbed at her eyes with a wet wipe and cleaned up the black smudges, before drying it with a tissue. She then replaced the smudges with neat black lines, and dabbed some mascara on her naturally long lashes. She didn’t need this make up, but she thought that she might as well clean herself up for Aaron, because she knew that even after a long day at work, he would make an effort to look good. He would shower, put clean clothes on. Aiko had already showered, hoping that it would make her red marks subtle, but that hope ran down the drain along with the water. She smiled at the new image, which appeared, in her mirror. Aiko was back…the real Aiko. The Aiko that Aaron enjoyed being with. She enjoyed being with Aaron, but like she told herself, he was just a big brother. Infact, she wouldn’t have it any other way. She would be happier him being her big brother, always there for her, than a boyfriend. Because she knew that if she was in love with him intimately, that would soon end, but she was in love with him as a friend, and she knew that that wouldn’t end.
She looked at the clock, which hung on her wall. It was nearly time. She flung herself on her bed, grabbing her phone. It was more interesting than just walking over there and grabbing her phone. Aiko was a professional at turning normal things into outrageous things. She placed it into her pocket, along with her purse. Although she knew that wherever they went Aaron would try to be the gentleman, sometimes, Aiko like to pay for things herself. Only seconds had passed since she placed her phone inside her jeans that it started beeping like mad, a text. There was only one person who would be texting her. Aaron. She smiled and placed it back from her jeans and read the message: hey, I just punched out and now I’m heading your way. She smiled, but didn’t think that there was any need texting him back, for her was driving, and it would just be an “okay” or something short and pointless like that. She sighed and looked outside her window at the street. It was a nice day. A perfect day to escape with Aaron. She walked over to her boots and grabbed them, sitting down to put them on her feet. Taking one more glance in the mirror, she smiled, approving at what she saw, and grabbed her black jacket, which held numerous colourful buttons, and sat on her window. She had to put her jacket on, although it was warm, to climb down the drainpipe. It wasn’t a difficult job, although one slight mistake and she would fall, ruining her look, and adding more scratches to the ones she already owned. She grinned sweetly as she heard him before she saw him, hearing the rap music blasting from his truck. As she jumped down, she walked over to his truck, jumped into the passenger seat and smiled at him, bearing her pearly whites. She knew that he would be able to see immediately the red line on her right cheek, but luckily, her red marks on her arms were covered with her jacket. She turned the music down, knowing that he wouldn’t mind if she fiddled with his radio, plus she wanted to talk. “Hey.” She loved sitting in his truck, it was comfy and fun. She took one last look at her “prison”, and then looked back at what was completely opposite to that. He always looked nice when he picked her up, no matter what he was wearing. He was clean, and handsome, and Aiko finally felt safe. She turned his music back up, and didn’t change the channel, as she liked listening to his taste in music. She allowed herself to relax more with him before she broke the silence…well, was the first to speak. Boy am I glad you came to my rescue. She sighed, glancing out of the open window.

I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Aaron watched her front door for a long time and moved his hand; hovering it over his horn and then he saw a flash of something black sliding down the side of the house. He inched the truck forwards a bit; and then realized that it was Akio - using the drainpipe. He chuckled, still laughing when she slide into the seat next to him. Hey. He smiled, putting his truck into drive and pulling away from the curb just as the front door to her home opened. Aaron glanced back, but he didn’t slow the truck down. Turning away to look at the road he smiled over at her. Hey - using the drainpipe again, huh? He’d seen her do that often enough and found it amusing every single time. Watching her for a moment, he noticed a new scratch on her cheek and was tempted to turn his truck around right now and give her mother a piece of his mind. No, he wouldn’t hit her mom, even though he’d love to - but his words would do enough damage. You okay? He said, nudging his head in her direction. His eyes were full of concern as he glanced at it one more time.
He kept his eyes on the road, just driving around. He had no destination in mind. Glancing over at her; which he did often when he drove just too keep an eye on her; he listened to her words. Boy am I glad you came to my rescue. Aaron smiled; he wished that he could take her permanently away from her mother’s home - but he didn’t know if she would find it slightly awkward if she slept over at his home. Not like he’d sleep with her; he didn’t have those kind of feelings for her. He thought of her as a younger sister, the one that he never had. Sure, she was pretty, but he loved her like an older brother would. Anytime. He paused to look at her. Seriously. His voice grew firm and serious, he really wanted her to know that she wasn’t intruding into his life. He would rather be running around saving her than worrying about himself. When she was happy he was too. Flipping his indicator on and slowing down he rounded a turn and slowed, seeing an accident up ahead. There was an ambulance and some cop cars already there. As Aaron drove past it, he slowed even more out of curiousity. He eyed the damage, whistling low under his breath at the smashed up car. Some people needed to really pay attention when they were driving.
He picked up speed after he was far enough away from the site. He knew that he could drive as fast as he wanted with Akio because she was the type of girl who didn’t care if they went fast. He smiled, she really seemed to be a lot like him. He nudged the volume button down slightly so that they could talk; realizing that that was probably what she wanted to do. So, where are we headed today? I’ve got nothing planned, so where ever you wanna go will sound good to me. He gave her a reassuring smile, wanting her to decide. They usually took turns deciding where they went, and last time he’d chosen the beach. She was new here, and so he had taken it as a job to show her around Arden Falls. She had enjoyed it and so had he, being able to talk to her was a lot of fun. There was nothing awkward about it. He was her friend, an older brother figure. Life was good when they were together.

Sing to me the song of the stars. Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again. When it feels like my dreams are so far Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again. _______________________ He always laughed at her when she used her drainpipe for the front door. She loved his chuckle, it wasn’t a harsh laugh, it was soft and soothed her, along with his smile, which she caught a glimpse of when she slid into the seat before glancing out of the window. She rolled her eyes and grunted as her front door opened and turned her head immediately back to Aaron’s direction, not wanting to look at her mother in those vicious eyes of hers. She was grateful that he pulled away from her house before her mother emerged from the doorway. Hey - using the drainpipe again, huh? He said, and she returned his sweet smile with a genuine one of hers. She saw that he had noticed the scratch, and sighed a sigh of frustration. She knew that Aaron wouldn’t hurt a fly, but she also knew that he would defend her in anything, and thought that maybe the thoughts going through his head at that very moment were more or less on the lines of him shouting at her mother. She giggled at this thought, and allowed the giggle to be out loud, as she saw her mother’s shocked face in her head. You okay? His voice was full of concern, and Aiko smiled at him softly, grateful for that concern for her. She nodded subtly, and sighed. Hmm… I guess. She had to rub her cheek, the scratch getting too painful for her to put on a strong front for Aaron’s sake. I’m much better now though They were just driving around, as usual, when they had no specific plans. She wished that she could do this every day, all day, for the rest of her life…or at least for a long time. But would Aaron feel awkward if she tagged along with him 24/7…practically lived with him? she would be in his way, and she would be a burden on him she knew, and also probably reduce the chance of him finding the special someone that he really deserved. Imagine her face when she walked into his apartment to see Aiko walking about in her PJ’s…she would run a mile. She wouldn’t do that to her “older brother.” Anytime, Seriously. She didn’t know why, and it was silly, but she felt like crying. Happy tears or sad tears Aiko didn’t know. Perhaps it was because she had gone from hell, to heaven in 60 seconds, and the seriousness of Aaron’s tone and the natural and usual kindness of him was sinking into her. She averted her gaze from his to an accident on the road. Her eyes grew sad as she saw the smashed up car. She heard the low whistle which escaped Aaron’s lips, and she smiled softly, sympathetically, as if she was smiling at the victims of the crash. But sometimes, people practically invited crashes by being careless. Unlike Aaron, he knew his way around a car whether it came to fixing one to driving one. As he picked up speed, she let the wind blow her hair from the open window. She wasn’t afraid of speed, not with Aaron, considering she felt safe with him. He knew how to drive. She rested her head back against the seat and looked out of the window again, not focusing her eyes on anything in particular. She however, turned back to look at him when the volume level of the music turned down. He wanted to talk. So, where are we headed today? I’ve got nothing planned, so where ever you wanna go will sound good to me. She knew that it was her turn to choose on where they went, and to be honest, she didn’t have any ideas on where to go, especially some place to pawn the beach, his last choice. He was her private tour of Arden Falls, and was showing her all the greatest places in Arden Falls. Although, she thought half of it was great because she was with him. She flashed him a cheeky looking grin. I haven’t had my coffee fix for the day…and haven’t eaten today either. Even though she had just literally brought back the memory of her going down the stairs to get some food, and failing, she still remained happy. Because when she was with Aaron, no matter if she was talking about something her mother had done, she couldn’t remove her smile, and her happy feeling. Being with Aaron, was just like being on the moon. Every day was different…and every day was happy.

I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ He heard her giggle and wondered what she had found so funny, but he smiled anyways. He lifted her heart when she laughed. He knew that he was doing a good job of cheering her up when she was laughing around him. Hmm… I guess. He nodded, he understood that it was hard for her right now. I’m much better now though. He smiled, Good - you know that’s what I like to hear. He winked at her, fiddling with the radio buttons for a moment. She liked the rap music, just like he did, but the commercials drove him crazy. He didn’t know why the station had to play like fifty of them all in a row, couldn’t they throw some songs in between? He lifted his eyes up to glance at the road every so often. He was a good driver, he was comfortable driving such a large truck because he’d driven practically all his life - well since he turned sixteen and got his G1, then a eight months later his G2. He had had to work his butt off for those eight months to save up the money to afford his driver’s ed. But as soon as he had his license he felt freedom. He could escape his father’s horrible choices.
Because Akio got abused by her mother, it hit home to Aaron. His father had abused his mother, all of the time. Sure, it was a little different scenario - worse in Akio’s situation, but they both bothered Aaron to not end. He couldn’t understand what was so fucked up about society that people would think that hurting their loved ones is okay. He shook his head, his brain was thinking too much. He looked over at Akio, studying her for a moment. Not much got past him with her. If she tried to hide something he could tell that she was hiding it. It was just out of instinct. But the fact that she was trying to hide cuts from her mother, filled his heart up to the brim with sadness. He could only take her away for an hour or so, which wasn’t good enough for either of them. He opened his mouth to offer her to come to his place for a while, maybe her mom will end up missing her and beg her to come back… He closed his mouth - he still was really unsure about that. It showed in his face, but his eyes were on the road, he wasn’t looking at Akio right now.
Aaron caught her cheeky looking grin and smiled, waiting to hear what her request was. I haven’t had my coffee fix for the day… and haven’t eaten today either. Aaron smiled, and flipped on his signal turning into Starbucks that they almost passed. Well then it’s settled. I’m getting you a large coffee and whatever you want to eat. My treat. He said, scanning the parking lot for a good place to park his large truck. When he found one he pulled into it and then unbuckled, cutting the engine and removing his keys from the ignition. He smiled over at her, and then opened his door. Jumping down he shut his door and waited to hear Akio’s slam shut. When he did, he locked up his truck and walked down the side of it to where she was at the front. They walked up to the building together, he held open the door for her. Once they entered the room, he let his eyes adjust to the dim lighting and looked around. The place wasn’t crowded at all. Do you want to eat here or drive and eat at the same time? He asked as they got into line. He was going to have himself a coffee. He wasn’t that hungry - he’d managed to find something at home to eat.
They stepped up in the line and Aaron let Akio order first. Aaron smiled at the person waiting on them. I’ll have a large double-double. He said, and then pulled out his debt card. Aaron waited for the guy to tell him when to swipe his card, and then swiped it. Punching in his code, he waited for the receipt. He shoved that into his pocket and then grabbed his coffee. He stepped out of the way so that Akio could grab her things, smiling down to her. He scanned the room again, even more people had left. He didn’t care if they drove still - his truck had a full tank of gas - or if they stayed here to talk. He looked down at Akio, she was rather small, but he was also fairly tall. He waited for her to reply to his question, sipping at his coffee. He didn’t know why they made it so hot that you almost burned your tongue and throat as the liquid went down. He blinked a few times, he always made that mistake to sip at it too soon. He looked sheepishly over at Akio, still waiting for an answer.

Sing to me the song of the stars. Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again. When it feels like my dreams are so far Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again. _______________________ Was there anything Aaron couldn’t do? He was great as a mechanic, and great as a “cheerer upper”, as Aiko finally felt relaxed and happy. She was laughing, something she rarely did in her home. Good - you know that’s what I like to hear. She laughed at his wink and rolled her sapphire eyes. she shared his same thought as he turned the volume of the radio down, adverts were pointless and everlasting. She shifted in the large seat that completely consumed her petite frame. She was always comfortable in his large truck, and she knew that Aaron was comfortable driving, seeing as he must have bee driving from the age of 16. This backed up the evidence that he was a very good driver. He must have had to work very hard to get to where he was now. Aaron, in Aiko’s eyes, was very inspirational. She didn’t know his secrets…darkest secrets, that even they hadn’t shared yet…but the way he looked at her, he seemed to understand her situation…perhaps he had witnessed the same things that she had been through. She would have to wait and see. Aiko still had her red arms hidden underneath her jacket, and the fact that she was hiding them from Aaron pained her more than those stinging red marks. She knew that he could tell that she was hiding something. Her mother’s words from that morning had stung her …"I wish you were never born, I should have put you up for adoption!" her eyes shut tight as she let out a sigh, the voice echoing and screaming through her head. Something inside of Aiko wished that she didn’t have a mother, but then again, she had no one else, her father had run away the minute he found out that he was going to be a dad. She had no one…nowhere to go. She loved her mother, but it was hard to believe the fact that her mother had the same feelings for her daughter. She never said to Aiko that she was proud of her, whether it was for Aiko’s piano skills, acting, anything. Aiko just wanted someone to be proud of her. Aiko returned his smile as she answered his question, and thought that he was going to miss the turning into Starbucks, but he flipped his signal and turned into the lot for a place to park. Considering it was a large truck, it was hard to park some places, but Starbucks was unusually quiet today so it was easy for them to park. Well then it’s settled. I’m getting you a large coffee and whatever you want to eat. My treat. Aiko opened her mouth to say that he didn’t have to treat her, that she was a big girl and she could pay for herself. But then she knew that she wouldn’t win, so she closed her mouth and smiled up at him, and met his smile before he got out. It would be easier for him to get out of his truck then it would be for her, seeing as he was tall and she was petite. She opened the heavy door and pushed it open, before sliding out of the chair and jumping the small gap that separated her from the ground. The minute she slammed the door, he locked his truck, and they walked up to the coffee shop together. She smiled at him, Thank you, she said as he opened the door for her. He was such a gentleman, someone who couldn’t be replaced…and you didn’t see many guys about like Aaron, normally guys used a girl like a toy, someone they could control. Aiko hated how Starbucks had its flaws…she loved the coffee, but the fact that it was too hot when your first got it, and then the place was…badly lit. it took a while for her eyes to adjust to the change of light as she looked around. it wasn’t that full, maybe because another flaw of Starbucks was that you had to be rich to be a local. She walked with him to the small queue as she glanced up to the menu. She hadn’t been to Starbucks in ages, and she had forgotten her favourite drink. Do you want to eat here or drive and eat at the same time? Can we stay here? I need to…talk. She looked up to him and smiled softly, although it didn’t reach her features. She ordered first, seeing, as she didn’t want to play that silly game of, “You go first, no you, no you…” She stepped up to the counter and smiled at the barista. I’ll have a large Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino…hold the cream. And a chicken wrap please. She was in the mood for an iced coffee, seeing as she was thirsty and didn’t want to wait ages for a hot coffee to cool down. She sighed as she saw Aaron pay, but knew that he was just being himself, so she forgot about it. Although she made a mental note that she owed him. She grabbed her things after he moved away, and looked up to him, smiling. She mouthed ‘thank you’ to him. although he was tall, he didn’t dwarf her. She laughed as he foolishly drunk his coffee way too early, and wasn’t surprised to see him look down at her with a sheepish look on his face. She laughed. How many times do I have to tell you Mr Garrison, to wait for the coffee to cool before sipping it. Surely a patient person like you could bare the wait. She laughed and moved to a bar, placing her wrap and cup down before climbing up the large stool. She immediately dug into her wrap, tearing it apart and placing small pieces into her mouth.

I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Aaron caught her small, Thank you. and nodded in reply to that. He didn’t need to say your welcome, Akio was too busy finding things to complain about in the Starbucks. He could tell because of the way her eyes squinted like his. He wished that they would fix this place up a bit. But he did like the large coffee he got here from time to time. Even though it was fairly expensive. Can we stay here? I need to… talk. Aaron nodded, whatever she wanted to do was fine with him - and she should know that by now. That sounds good to me. He paused, looking around once more before returning his eyes to her face. I’m all ears, you know that. He really wished that he would just ask her to stay at his place, maybe he’d grow the balls to when they sat down and conversation started to flow.
I’ll have a large Café Vanilla Frappuccino… hold the cream. And a chicken wrap please. She’d definitely been here before, Aaron thought that he had taken here before but he wasn’t quit sure. They’d been pretty much all over the place. Following her over to the bar where she was headed, he listened to her words, chuckling. How many times do I have to tell you Mr Garrison, to wait for the coffee to cool before sipping it. Surely a patient person like you could bare the wait. Aaron smiled at her, sitting down on a large stool beside her and putting his coffee down that was too hot still. And how many times do I need to tell you, Akio, that I prefer ‘Aaron’ rather than ‘Mr Garrison.’ He winked, sure he was being serious, but his tone was light and cheerful. I sure hope that you know me better than to refer to me as a patient person. He shook his head with a smile on his face.
As they sat there for a bit, silence settled upon them. Aaron thought back to the truck when Akio had sighed heavily and closed her eyes. He had thought that she was going to cry, but surprisingly enough she hadn’t. He might have seen her cry once before but it had been a little awkward, back when they had first met. Now he would be more than willing to comfort her, pull her into his big strong arms and just let her escape from her mother’s wrath. Thinking this, he looked over at her and opened his mouth. Actually, I’ve got a question for you. There was no going back now. He needed to ask her and get it off of his chest. If you wanted to, since you seem to be trapped at home, come and spend some time at mine you could. He connected his eyes with hers to show that he was being serious. Don’t feel like you’d be intruding, there’s nobody else there but me and I want to help you out more than just a day at a time away from your mom. He looked at her for a moment, it would be a lot of fun to have her stay at his house.
As he waited for a response to his question, his stomach started to turn around. He wished that she’d say yes but there was another part of him that prepared him for a no to come out of her mouth. Lifting his cup to his mouth, he sipped at the liquid. It was a bit more cooler now, but still bit his tongue as it went down. Putting the cup back down onto the counter he let his eyes roam the place, always coming back to settle upon Akio to make sure that she was okay. So, you wanted to talk huh? He said gently, wanting her to let whatever she had inside, out. He was the best listener out there - or at least he thought so. He wasn’t cocky about it - but he just prided himself on being a good listener. Something that hadn’t always been a thing Aaron could do - especially growing up in a horrible house that he had. But when he turned nineteen or so, he started to mature a bit. Then he started to realize that if he said he was a good listener, he didn’t have to talk about himself as much. Not only that, but he enjoyed listening to people talk to him - especially Akio.

Sing to me the song of the stars. Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again. When it feels like my dreams are so far Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again. _______________________ She had a lot in her mind, and when she had said that she needed to talk, she wasn’t making it up, she had something on her mind…and she needed to tell Aaron. Aaron needed to know. She couldn’t live with herself if she hid her secret from him for any longer. That sounds good to me, she knew that he would accept anything she said, but she always asked, just incase he had anything in mind. Aiko had also noticed that whenever Aaron looked around, he would always look back on her, he had done the same in the truck. Perhaps he did that just to check up on her. She appreciated that. it was very rare when anyone seemed to care about her. I’m all ears, you know that. she smiled and nodded. She didn’t know how she was going to tell…make him see what was wrong with her, because she was worried what his reaction would be. Aiko was right, she had no worry doubting him, as he followed her to the bar and sat next to her. She chewed at her fist bite of the wrap, it was tasty, although slightly over…how do you say, manufactured. Tightly wrapped together, it was more of a squeeze than a wrap. But it was her first meal of the day, so she wasn’t complaining. She swallowed and had a sip of her Frappuccino through the straw, although she wasn’t ready for the coldness that froze her tongue. She quickly pulled the straw away and slightly cringed, her eyes closing as she swallowed the icy caffeine-filled substance. She looked up at Aaron and as usual, a smile was painted on his face. She matched his smile with one of her own, but hers was more cheeky, and still getting over the cold drink. And how many times do I need to tell you, Akio, that I prefer ‘Aaron’ rather than ‘Mr Garrison. she was about to take another bite of her wrap but thought otherwise, seeing as she laughed loudly at his comment while looking at him, as he spoke using a cheerful tone. I sure hope that you know me better than to refer to me as a patient person. As he shook his head with a smile, Aiko smiled sweetly at him, an angelic smile. She didn’t know how to answer, so she sipped at her drink again, bracing herself for the coldness, and took another bite of her wrap. The silence was settling on them, but Aiko didn’t mind. When it came to Aaron and her and silences, they were never awkward, they could sit in silence and not even have a conversation, but enjoy each other’s company. She took it as time to finish her meal, as she ate the last bite. The wrap wasn’t large, but it filled her up. She was still sat in her jacket…for a reason. And that reason pained her deep inside, and she wanted it to make it go away. But she knew that the only way to do that was to get it of her chest. She opened her mouth to say it, but Aaron broke the silence and spoke instead. Her secret flew back to the bottom of the pile. Actually, I’ve got a question for you. She turned to look at him, eyebrows raised. If you wanted to, since you seem to be trapped at home, come and spend some time at mine you could. He eyes narrowed as she listened to what he was saying. She tried to make sense of it all. Was he asking her to stay with him? She was about to say that he didn’t have to do that, but again, he got there before her. Don’t feel like you’d be intruding, there’s nobody else there but me and I want to help you out more than just a day at a time away from your mom. She blinked several times, as she looked behind him, avoiding his eye contact. Her mind raced around, finding the pros and cons about his offer. If she lived with him for a while, she would be away from her mother, and her body could heal…she wouldn’t be hit and abused any more. However, she still didn’t believe him when he said that she wouldn’t be intruding. But when she placed all her thoughts on the scales, his offer actually won over her. She looked back and smiled at him. she nodded. Yes. That…that would be great. She exclaimed, and if they weren’t sat on stools, she would have jumped at him and hugged him. She went back to drink her drink, as if it was just a normal conversation that they had just had. She was over the moon, but she still had something to tell Aaron, and now, especially if she was going to stay around with him, she had to tell him…before he found out himself. So, you wanted to talk huh? she closed her eyes and braced herself for the thing she was about to do. Opening them shortly afterwards she looked at him, her face no longer happy. I’ll show you instead. She stated, and knew that it would confuse Aaron. She unzipped her black jacket and let it fall to the floor. She then placed her arms on the bar and braced herself again for his reaction. She looked down at her red arms, they were even redder now seeing as she had caged them away from air in her jacket. The stood out like a clowns nose. she bit inside her mouth, not wanting to cry now, not infront of Aaron. Especially since seconds ago he had made her extremely happy by offering her an invitation away from her mother, who was the reason why her arms were sore.

I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ After Aaron had asked her to come spend some time at his home, he had watched her face, his stomach churning around as he sat there and worried. He hoped that she would accept his suggestion, hell he could even help her get all of her stuff that she’d need and move her in tonight. It wasn’t like he had that special someone in his life right now and to be honest, he was tired of trying to find her. He would just forget about that for a while now, and just focus on his work and keeping Akio happy. That seemed a lot easier than trying to meet singles that wanted to settle down. Although it also depended upon Aaron’s mood. Sometimes he was more mature than normal and then sometimes he just let himself go ( usually around his friends or Akio ). He didn’t totally act like an idiot around her, but he was definitely relaxed around her. It had been that way almost ever since they day they had met. He had given her a tour that day, taking her to see the ugly fountains in town. They had had a blast, driving too fast with the windows down and the music blarin’. Aaron liked the fact that he could get her away from her bitch of a mother.
His head snapped in her direction when he heard her words, his eyes on her face, scanning it as she gave him her answer. Yes. That… would be great. Aaron’s face lit up - smiling at her he couldn’t believe that she’d said yes. Good. Since that’s settled - when do you want to move in? He asked her gently, he always spoke to her gently. It was a little harder right now just because he was excited for her to be spending more time with him. He thought it was going to be a lot of fun, sharing his home with someone else now. Someone who he loved like a family member. Someone who he could talk to anytime and she wouldn’t complain. He looked away for a moment, he couldn’t believe his luck. As excitement flowed through his veins, his eyes roamed around the little café. A few more people were leaving, until they were just about the only two there. Besides the barista, and another customer who was some old man in the corner. Aaron wondered what time it was. His cell was in his truck. He didn’t like being interrupted when he was talking to Akio.
She had been quite for a little too long, so after he’d prompted her about what she wanted to talk about, he turned his eyes back to her. He saw her shift uncomfortably in her seat and scanned her face. There was definitely something she was hiding, but he had a feeling deep down ( a gut feeling ) that she was about to tell him. I’ll show you instead. Aaron watched her unzip her jacket, wondering what on earth she was showing him. He arched an eyebrow until he watched her arms move up onto the bar. His arched eyebrow was quickly joined with the other as he gaped at her arms. Sure, he’d seen some marks on her before but nothing like these. He just stared at them for a moment, wondering why the hell her mother was so screwed up to do this.
Aaron lifted his eyes away from her bloody arms and looked at her face, she had it all screwed up - trying not to cry. He felt horrible, his heart breaking in two. He moved towards her and wrapped his strong arms around her shoulders, careful to not hit her arms. He held her there, wanting to beat her mom to a pulp or at least yell at her forever. I am so sorry Akio. We are moving you out today. He paused, thinking as he held her. He finally let her go, looking into her eyes with his hands on her shoulders. We should probably get those cleaned up if you haven’t already. I won’t drag you to the hospital if you don’t want to. He would understand if she didn’t want to go through with all of that shit, but he definitely wanted her to get them cleaned up. And be honest if she had cleaned them up or not earlier. He bent over and picked up her jacket. He put it around her shoulders, not touching her arms with it or with his hands. His heart went out to her - she had such a horrible life. He didn’t think that he’d ever let her go back to her mother.

Sing to me the song of the stars. Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again. When it feels like my dreams are so far Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again. _______________________ Why had Aaron asked her to move in? Sure, he was a fantastic friend, so protective over her, she felt safer around him. she saw from his body language that he had been wanting to ask her for a while, probably since he picked her up. perhaps, like her, he had had problems finding the confidence to say what’s on his mind. But what if he had a special someone…although Aiko knew that he didn’t…but then again, what if he found the special someone. Aiko would have to move. But she forgot about that horrible thought, knowing that even if she did have to move, Aaron would make sure she had somewhere safe to go. She knew that one day Aaron would find that special someone, who would capture his heart. And he deserved it. Because he put all his love into everything, into his work, his truck, his job, his friends. Infact, Aiko would love to live with Aaron, they had so much fun together. And the loved the idea of him taking her away from her mother…if that is what she can call her.
She could tell that, by his lit up face and smile, he couldn’t believe that Aiko’s answer had been yes. Good. Since that’s settled - when do you want to move in? How come Aaron always spoke to Aiko gently? It was sweet of him, although it must have been hard for him at that very moment, considering that his heart was probably telling him to do a little dance or something. Now it was as if she was living her dream, living with someone who was kind, and not abusive. Aaron to Aiko was like an older brother, a protective older brother who would run to hell and back for Aiko…although all he had to do was run to her mother and he would be in hell. She really didn’t know how to answer him, seeing as she was going to allow him to call the shots on when she moved in, seeing as it was his place. She followed his gaze around the little shop, and was shocked at how there was only a old man in the corner along with the barista. What time was it anyway. Aiko’s phone was turned off, she hated being interrupted, and she knew that Aaron always kept his phone in his truck. She knew this because she had asked him once why he did that, risking a robbery of his truck, and he had said that he hated to be interrupted when he was with people. They were so alike, they could actually be siblings! When she had unveiled her secret, she saw, through her teary eyes, him stare at her arms. She hated to see the pain in those eyes. That’s when she cried. Silently. Two tears rolled down her cheeks as she looked at his face, his usual happiness wiped away. She wished that he didn’t look so sad for her. She was ok…now, now that she was with him. she tried to tell him this, but she knew that her voice would be raspy, which would convince him otherwise that she was not ok. She looked down at her arms again, the tears falling silently onto the bar. She told herself over and over again not to cry infront of Aaron, not to make it awkward for him, to have a girl crying infront of him and he had nothing to do with it. She hadn’t wanted to show him her weak side, although she had cried infront of him before…so maybe now would be different. Now he would be prepared for her anger and tears, and wrap her up in his strong arms, shielding her from anymore harm. She felt strong arms wrapping themselves around her shoulders, and she knew that he was trying to be cautious, trying not to hit her where it hurt. . I am so sorry Aiko. We are moving you out today She looked up at him through misty eyes and held onto his hand, her small hand contrasting with his larger one. Then he let go, and she felt colder, and looked up into his eyes. Don’t be sorry Aaron…you couldn’t have done anything. She tried to smile, but her attempt failed…even with Aaron holding her shoulders, convincing her that she would be ok, she couldn’t show him that she was grateful of his offer, and his brotherly love for her. . We should probably get those cleaned up if you haven’t already. I won’t drag you to the hospital if you don’t want to. She jerked away from his hands and let out a low grunt. She really didn’t want to explain to some doctor how she had acquired cuts, and if she didn’t say anything to them they would assume she was some self harmer, and take her away from Aaron and place her into some counsellors hands, who would try and help her. She hated how counsellors tried to tell people how to live their lives when they didn’t even know what they were going through. Aaron, however, knew what she was going through, so she didn’t hate the fact that eh sometimes helped her with her life. She looked at him. he was leant down, picking her jacket up. she smiled as he placed it on her shoulders. She opened her mouth to speak, but a hiccup came out, probably from how she had wolfed down her drink and food like there was no tomorrow. She giggled slightly, although most of it was venom filled, venom from the anger towards her mother. She then spoke, softly. I’ll go to the hospital…But promise me something…don’t let them take me away, and don’t let them try and control me and try to put my problem with my mother in their hands. She knew, or at least hoped that he would promise her this…but she knew deep inside that he truly will and it would be stupid to doubt him.

I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Aaron had seen her tears which caused him almost more pain that her cuts on her arms. He felt angry, and frustrated. He couldn’t do anything really to stop her mother. Unless he spoke to someone to get a restraining order placed upon Akio’s mother - to keep her far away from Akio even if Aaron could be there. He wondered if there was a job that Akio could do at his work. He could pay her and she would be able to stay near him and farther away from her mother. As he continued to think that, he thought it was a fairly good plan. But it was a plan that he didn’t need to talk to her about right now. He pushed that thought to the back of his mind. He watched as two fat tears slid down her face and wiped them gently away from her cheeks. He was so protective over her that he scanned the room to make sure that nobody was staring at her. He didn’t see anyone, so he gazed at her again. His eyes showed how much pain he was in, and he wished that he could hide it from her. But it was too much to hide, his heart felt like it had been broken in two. Just like it always did whenever he saw a mark on his Akio. The worst part of this whole thing was that it was caused by her mother. Out of all the people in the world, it had to be her mother. The one who was supposed to cherish every moment spent with her daughter. The one who was bonded for life by blood. Akio didn’t deserve this and Aaron wished that he could just take her away, hide her from the world. Or at least her mother. Make her safe.
When Akio cried in front of him it didn’t bother him like when other girls cried in front of him. He didn’t know why, maybe it was because he wasn’t attracted to her. Whatever the reason, he was slightly pleased that he wasn’t upset about her crying. The downside? Well, she was crying, which wasn’t a good thing. He wanted to take her away from all of this - but he knew that in reality he just couldn’t do that. He looked down at her when she spoke to him. Don’t be sorry Aaron… you couldn’t have done anything. He shook his head, a fierce look flashing in his eyes from being frustrated. Yes, I could have. I could have gotten you out of that hell hole a long time ago. He paused, looking deeply into her eyes. I should have taken you out a lot time ago. But at least we are getting you out of there now. He looked her a moment longer, tempted to ask her something. Why not? He was fairly open with her and she with him. Have you… have you ever considered getting a restraining order placed upon your mother? His voice was soft, soothing. He hoped that he didn’t distress her when he asked this question - he just wanted to know. If she hadn’t, maybe she hadn’t even thought of it before or hadn’t known how to go about getting one set up. Aaron could help her with that since he’d had one placed upon his father long ago. Back when his father had been going through the trials after trials. The restraining order had given Aaron a feeling of safety.
When she jerked out of his hands and grunted lowly, he arched an eyebrow wondering what he must’ve done wrong. His brows furrowed, as he searched back, thinking. He didn’t know if she was just upset that he’d suggested going to the hospital or if it was something completely different. He just wanted a professional to take a peek at her - and make sure that they weren’t going to get infected. That was what he wanted the least - Akio’s wounds to get even more painful from infections. He heard her voice and turned his head and eyes in her direction, paying close attention to what came out of her mouth. I’ll go to the hospital…But promise me something…don’t let them take me away, and don’t let them try and control me and try to put my problem with my mother in their hands. Aaron nodded slowly, that sounded like a fair bargain. All he wanted her to have done is just get those cuts cleaned up. I wouldn’t let anybody take you away from me Akio, trust me on this, please. His eyes conveyed just how much he cared and worried about her. We won’t even have to mention your mother, we can say that you were climbing a tree and fell out of it - I was driving past and since I knew you - I came over and helped you out. He nodded, it was a pretty solid story. Those are tree branch cuts. He said, pointing to her arm cuts.
He stood there for a moment, letting everything soak in. He did that sometimes, especially when he was hit with something that was… well, slightly unexpected. He knew that her mother was fucked up, he just hadn’t realized how fucked up she was. We should probably get going now… He said, helping her off of the stool and grabbing his coffee from the bar. As they made their way out he continued to look around them, giving anybody who looked at her the wrong way, the evil eye. People backed down, he could make himself look fairly pissed off when he needed to. Once they got to his truck, he unlocked it and opened the passenger side door. He lifted Akio up onto the seat, she was so small and light he was surprised at how little she weighed. He smiled as she got settled in the seat and shut the door. Walking around the front of his truck he settled into the driver’s seat and was quickly turning the key into the ignition, placing his cup of coffee into a cup holder. Then he threw his truck into ‘drive’ and buckled up quickly. He drove the quickest way he could to the hospital, which wasn’t too far away. He parked near the door and put the truck into ‘park’ then cut the engine. Unbuckling he grabbed his coffee and opened up his door. After getting out and shutting the door behind him, he walked around the front to Akio’s side. He opened up her door and offered a hand to help her down with. Once she was safely on the ground, he shut the door behind her. As they made their way up to the hospital entrance he continued to scan around them, and Akio. Stepping through the automatic doors he walked her over to the front desk.
He looked around, the desk lady was heading back towards them. Um, hi. My friend here - she hurt herself from climbing a stupid tree. I was driving past and I saw her on the ground so I came over and… well she needs these looked at. The desk lady nodded, looking at Akio’s arms. Aaron looked at the lady. ‘Okay, I will take her to the doctor right now, those are pretty nasty looking.’
She said, too cheerfully, and took Akio from Aaron’s protective arm. Aaron’s eyes filled with worry. I need to come with her. The lady nodded, and Aaron followed right behind them down the hallway. They were soon entering a white room, just like the whole damn place. Aaron didn’t like being in hospitals. The lady left them in the room as she went off in search of a free doctor. Aaron sat down in a chair near Akio, looking up at her. I won’t leave your side, see? He said with a crooked grin on his face. They sat there, waiting for the doctor to come. Aaron sighed, running a hand over his freshly buzzed hair. He wondered how long they would have to wait… he hoped not too long.[/blockquote] Tag: Akio Summers Word Count: 1393 Comments: Getting more muse!! XD[/blockquote]

Sing to me the song of the stars. Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again. When it feels like my dreams are so far Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again. _______________________ She knew that Aaron was frustrated. Probably with her, crying. She didn’t want to ruin their outing by crying and turning everything awkward and depressing, but she hadn’t cried at home when it had happened, so she now had to let out all her anger out in watery salty tears. She didn’t like to Aaron angry though, it slightly scared her because she kept on thinking that he might do something, as in take matters into his own hands and having a little word with her mother. As amusing as this would be, Aiko wouldn’t let that happen. She would allow Aaron to look after her as he always did, but wouldn’t let him try and prove that to her…because she didn’t need proof, she had her own evidence. When he asked her to move in with him, she was over the moon, but a feeling deep inside knew that she would have to get a job and be responsible to pay her way, half of the rent etc. that meant a job. That meant work. Where in Arden Falls would Aiko find a job? But no matter what, she wouldn’t give up on Aaron, and would show him, that mainly because of him, she could be responsible. It’s not like she was in school anymore…well, she was technically…but she really couldn’t bear going back. She hated the thought of breaking the news to Aaron that she felt like dropping out of school. Again, she got out her “imaginary pro’s and con’s list”, the only way she felt comfortable making choices. On the good side, dropping out of school would be allow Aiko to spend more time with Aaron, and focus on getting a job. On the bad side, dropping out of school would make getting a job harder…and would probably annoy Aaron. she screamed of frustration, inside of course. Her list was not going the way she wanted it to…but she knew, gut feeling, that she had to stay in school in order to keep Aaron happy, and to be honest…in order to keep herself happy.
Happy however, was not a feeling that she was experiencing at that point in time. Although, she was sitting next to her “hero.” She closed her eyes and sighed when he touched her, wiping her tears away. When Aaron touched her, rarely, she didn’t feel anything…sexual. She didn’t have those feelings towards Aaron. She opened her eyes and smiled at him, but her smile faded before it grew, as she saw pain in his eyes. it shattered her heart seeing him like that, and she knew that he had wanted to hide it from her, just like she had hid her scars, and her tears from him earlier. She didn’t want to see his smiley happy face break like that. She reached up and cupped his chin with her hand. Don’t be sad Aaron. I’m ok. She whispered the end, and let go. she just wanted to curl up into a ball under a duvet and hide, sleep, anything. Just to forget her mother…to get away from her. The sooner she moved into his place, the better. She didn’t care if half of her stuff was left at home…in her mother’s hands. It would probably be sold, for alcohol money. Harsh as it sounded, Aiko hoped her mother drank herself into an early grave. . Yes I could have..I could have gotten you out of that hell hole a long time ago.She heard his frustration in his voice. It didn’t scare her, but it concerned her. She had never heard him like this, never seen him getting so concerned and protective that his frustration seeped through his strong wall inside. She didn’t want him to beat himself up for her mother’s actions. How could she had done all this. She had ruined her own life through drink…ruined Aiko’s life…and now the consequences of this were that Aaron was getting hurt too. . I should have taken you out a lot time ago. But at least we are getting you out of there now. She pulled one of those “don’t beat yourself up for my problems” faces. She nodded softly…subtly. As he looked around, she knew that there was something on his chest that eh wanted to ask her. she just knew it, something about his body language screamed it at her. Have you… have you ever considered getting a restraining order placed upon your mother? She bit her lip and looked away, looking down. She ran her fingers through her hair and held her head, something she did when she tried to get away from things…tried to get away from reality. She hadn’t thought about placing a restraining order on her, didn’t even know how.No. I’m so stupid Aaron, I should have thought that years ago. She looked up and raised her voice, angry at herself, not Aaron. His voice was so soothing, but she just couldn’t let it reassure her. She was stupid, so utterly stupid to not think of something so clever like that.
From his furrowed brows, she knew that he was looking back to try and think of what he had said to cause her to jerk away like she had done. It was something that he had said, but she wasn’t upset at him. How could she be upset at him? For Aaron was the one who took away her sadness. She knew that he only wanted someone who knew what they were doing to check up on her, to make sure she is 100% ok…physically. I wouldn’t let anybody take you away from me Aiko, trust me on this, please. She saw in his deep eyes that he meant it. she smiled softly at him.Of course I trust you Aaron. Thank you. Her voice was half a whisper but at least she could put all her confidence in him in the other half. We won’t even have to mention your mother, we can say that you were climbing a tree and fell out of it - I was driving past and since I knew you - I came over and helped you out. She pulled a face and grinned at his idea. Coffee defiantly brought out his imagination. Those are tree branch cuts. She followed his finger to where he pointed to her deep cuts. She took in his plan and nodded, smiling back at him, her first genuine smile after all the tears. I am pretty clumsy. She giggled, thinking that Aaron was not only a very handsome man, but he also had a brilliant mind.
He had stood up, but she remained seated. Maybe he just needed time to think about things and put them together rationally. She had just shown him what her fucked up mother was capable in doing, and he knew that she was like this…but Aiko didn’t think that Aaron knew that her mother could get this bad. She looked up to him when she heard him speak. We should probably get going now. She accepted kindly the hand that extended out for her, as he helped her off of the stool. He hadn’t drunk his coffee as quick as Aiko had, for he would have had many more in that day during work. He grabbed his cup and as they walked out of the store, she sensed that he must have been checking to see if anyone was looking at them…perhaps, he was telling them to fuck off…silently, with an evil eye. She knew that when he wanted to be, and needed to be pissed, he would do instantly. She made her way to the passenger door and was caught off guard when strong hands lifted her up to her seat. She let out a short giggle as she settled into the large seat. She knew that he didn’t realise how little she weighed, that her weight evened out with her height. The amount of coffee she drank, calories in those cups, she was surprised herself at her weight. She pulled the large belt around her and buckled up, as he jumped in and swiftly buckled up and got out of the car lot. He must have taken the short route, considering they had arrived there quickly. She was about to open the door, but again, she was caught of guard when he rushed out of his seat, grabbed his coffee and held out his free hand to help her down. She smiled at him and slipped her small hand inside his large one, and he politely shut her door again. Her smile was her thank you, thinking that if she said it too often it would sound like a stuck record. He walked her through the sliding doors and she looked around. it had been a while since she had been in a hospital, she didn’t really like them. They smelled funny, and they seemed to be all…white…everywhere. Also, hospitals were full of ill people, unfortunate people, and of course, that lingering feeling of death. They walked up to the desk and she tried to hide her cautious look on her face, knowing that it would draw attention. She smiled sweetly at the receptionist as she walked up to the two, and was relieved, and grateful that Aaron did all the talking.
Um, hi. My friend here - she hurt herself from climbing a stupid tree. I was driving past and I saw her on the ground so I came over and… well she needs these looked at. Aiko felt very self conscious when the lady’s eyes fell on her arms, and she looked up at Aaron, who of course, wouldn’t look at her, for he probably knew that she hated having eyes on her. Her stomach was racing around, the butterflies flying freely. She was nervous as to what the woman had to say, and prayed to God that she would hurry up and reply. Aiko had to make her sigh of relief as quiet as possible when the woman finally responded. . ‘Okay, I will take her to the doctor right now, those are pretty nasty looking.’ Her cheerful tone made Aiko’s blood boil. That was what was wrong with hospitals. The doctors and nurses, and all of the staff had this false happiness, trying to convince the patients that they will be ok. She suddenly flinched as the woman took her from Aaron’s grip. Aiko’s eyes flooded with fear as she glanced at Aaron. I need to come with her. He had said, washing the fear from her eyes. She smiled softly as he followed them to a room…a white room, wasn’t that a surprise. The woman, thank god, left them alone while she looked for a doctor. She felt very uncomfortable sat on the bed. They weren’t the comfiest of things in the world. Also, she, for once, towered over Aaron, and she looked down at him as he pulled up a chair and sat near her. I won’t leave your side, see? She smiled down at his crooked grin. She lay back on the bed and kept her eyes on Aaron. As he sighed and brushed his fuzzy hair, she knew what was going through his mind. He was concerned about how long they would have to be here. She smiled sweetly down at him. Aaron, you can head home if you want. I’m ok. I’ll walk back. She was telling the truth although, 99% of her knew that he wouldn’t allow that to happen and he would stay put. She sighed and flung her head back on the cushioned bed. Closing her eyes, she knew that it was going to be a long wait. It always was in hospitals. She had a question for Aaron, well more of a statement. And she knew that she had to et it off her chest. She opened her eyes and looked at him. Aaron, she looked seriously at him, her eyes showing him how truthful she was being. I’ll get a job. Pay my side of the rent, and be responsible. She smiled at him, and reached down to hold his hand, wanting reassurance that she was going to be ok and that she wasn’t alone. OOC: Sooo glad I got it done >< lol Been out all day so had to do it now

I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ He felt her hand on his chin and felt nothing out of the ordinary for her. Whenever they tenderly touched one another - like right now - he didn’t feel anything sexual. Don’t be sad Aaron. I’m okay. He shook his head, his eyes hardening. But that’s just it Akio, you’re not okay. And I want to just take you to another country… another world where you won’t ever have to worry about your mom coming and seeing you. I just hope that she doesn’t find out where I live and harass us there because it’s not going to be enjoyable for her. His voice was firm, he meant what was coming out of his mouth. He wished that this had happened to someone else… or at least never happen at all. But the sad truth about this society was that it always happened. If not Akio, to another poor girl or boy out there, helplessly fighting against themselves to run away, or to end their life because there was no way they could fight their own parents. After he asked the difficult question his gaze fell upon her and he watched as she broke the eye contact and looked away. He shouldn’t have asked. Not now. He always did things at the wrong time. No. I’m so stupid Aaron, I should have thought of that years ago. Aaron looked into her eyes, so she did want to get one placed upon her mother. He breathed a sigh of relief - that was a good sign. Well - I had to place one on my father… a long time ago. I can help you this time around. It will be much easier with some help, I had to do it all on my own, and then my brother followed suit. He paused. Yes, I do have a brother. He just isn’t around anymore. I have no idea where he went. Although I do care about it… he won’t ever talk to me again. Aaron looked away for a moment, what he’d done… wasn’t good. His brother had a right to just ignore Aaron.
He caught her soft smile and knew that she trusted him. He was just trying to reassure her. Of course I trust you Aaron. Thank you. He smiled, Good. You‘re welcome. He said to her, smiling again. He watched her pull a face and smile. He chuckled, he did have quite the imagination that coffee tended to bring out. I am pretty clumsy. He smiled, There you go. And they’ll buy it - they have to. He was confident that their plan would work flawlessly. He’d been to the doctors with his mom and had lied before. ‘No - those were made by another human, of course not her own husband, no those were from when she slipped and fell. Oh yes, quite a nasty fall.’ Aaron felt anger bubbling up in his chest. Oh how he hated how fucked up his family was. Wasn’t there something called a normal family anymore? He looked around, a single mom had entered the café with her baby in tow, looking stressed out and depressed. Aaron’s heart went out to any broken down family, he wished that he could fix it all. There was just to much sadness and in the world… too many people fucked up. I am glad that you approve of my little scenario. He said. He actually was pretty surprised that he’d been able to pull that out of his ass like that, but he wasn’t complaining either. They did look kind of like scratches that trees made upon your skin. Oh, did Aaron ever have experience in that tree climbing field.
As she lied down on the bed at the hospital he smiled, she was taller than him for once. He was going to say that but instead a sigh escaped his lips. He turned his head to look over at her as she spoke to him. Aaron you can head home if you want. I’m okay. I’ll walk back. Aaron shook his head, rolling his eyes. Don’t even think that I’d leave you for a second Akio. From now on, I want to be by your side as much as I can. Seriously. Of course, I don’t want to smother you or anything like that - but I’m here for whenever you need something. He said, taking her hand and squeezing it supportively. He was careful to not squeeze too hard, her hand was so small inside his larger one. The way it should be. He continued to hold her hand, hoping that it would comfort her. She could let go whenever she wanted to, but he had a feeling that it would feel reassuring to be able to hold someone’s hand right now. Aaron. I’ll get a job. Pay my side of the rent, and be responsible. He smiled, and looked deeply into her eyes before he spoke. For now I just want you to be able to enjoy being a kid again. You don’t need to get a job right now. My job can support both of us - besides I don’t think that you a very big eater. He smiled. I offered my home up to you because I know that you need some time to get back onto your feet. Sure, maybe later on you could get at job. But for now, promise me that you will sleep in longer and eat when you’re hungry, okay? My food is your food… my house is your house kind of thing, got it? He wasn’t worried about her costing him much. As it was he had a lot of extra money going into the bank, and it wasn’t like he was working on a car project right now. His truck was pretty much complete, so he wasn’t going to be blowing large chunks of money on that.
He smiled over at Akio and then heard footsteps coming down the hall… getting closer and closer to their room. He turned, praying to God that it wasn’t her mother. Sometimes they contacted close family members that someone was in the hospital. But it was the doctor, he entered the room and gave each of them a smile. Aaron hated how everyone around here smiled so damn cheerfully when death occurred in a hospital just about every five minutes. He looked at the doctor with a smile that didn’t reach up to his eyes. ‘Let’s see what we have here…’ He said, walking up to Akio and smiling again. He examined her arms. ‘Well - must’ve been a pretty tall tree, huh?’ He said chuckling as he moved to one of the white cabinets and pulling out some alcohol and some bandages. He quickly dabbed on the alcohol onto the cuts, cleaning them. Then he applied some dressing and wrapped up her arms so that it looked like she had white sleeves on. The doctor turned to Aaron, figuring that he was a parent or guardian. ‘Apply the dressing and change the bandages twice a day for about three to four days…’ He said, handing Aaron the dressing in the container and a bundle of bandages. Aaron nodded, Will do. He said, and almost continued to say something else but he didn’t. He stood up, the doctor wrote something down on a prescription paper, probably some pain killers. Turning to Akio he smiled again. ‘Take the recommended dose - no more, no less than what it says. I think that it’s one in the morning and one at night. They are pretty strong.’ He chuckled, handing the script to her and then nodding to both of them, exiting the door. Aaron turned to Akio, offering a hand to help her down. At least she had her jacket to cover them up.
As they walked down the hallway, Aaron looked around for a pharmacy, sometimes they had one inside hospitals. There was one downstairs. Aaron turned to Akio, You can go out to the truck and I’ll go get your pills. He said, knowing that she would want to be hidden from people right now. His customly tinted windows made it so nobody could see the passenger seat, and a little bit of the driver’s. He fished in his pocket for his keys and handed them to her. Now when I get out of here - my truck better still be there! He said, giving her a one armed hug and then walking down the stairs to where the pharmacy was. He walked up to the prescription desk and handed the pharmacist the script. She smiled to him and walked off, saying that it would only take a few minutes. Aaron went and started to browse through the shelves. He grabbed a water bottle for Akio, so that she could take her pills. It was close enough in the morning for her to have one now. He looked around until he heard his name being called over the speakers to come pick up his script. He walked back to the counter and got the pills, he was covered for scripts so he didn’t have to pay a cent ( except for the water bottle ). Walking outside, after climbing the stairs to the main floor, he looked around. No Akio. He had wondered if she would just stand there and wait for him or if she would go to the truck. He walked outside, and turned left to the parking lot. He found his truck with ease, it was the only one that was customized. He slipped inside the driver’s seat after tapping on the window to get the door unlocked. He smiled over at Akio and handed her the pills and the water. Here ya go. Drink up. He said with a smile as he started up the engine and pulled out of the lot. Driving down the road he looked over at her. Do you want to grab your things and load them into my truck now or what? He drove a bit more slowly until she swallowed her pills and answered him.

Sing to me the song of the stars. Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again. When it feels like my dreams are so far Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again. _______________________ As she lay on the bed in the hospital anxiously praying that the nurses wouldn’t call her family…her mother, she remembered how Aaron’s eyes hardened at her when she had told him that she was ok. She was a fool to think that he would believe her, because he was the only person who could see through her into the truth. He had said to her that he wanted to take her away, to another world. She smiled softly, it was nice to have someone as caring as Aaron, and it made her feel alive again. She knew that he would do anything to help her, but she was surprised to hear a secret come out of his mouth whilst doing so. She never knew that he had had a brother. She hadn’t said anything, because her breath had been taken away. What could she had said? She didn’t have the answers to anything, didn’t know how to console him about his brother leaving him and having to go through the ordeal of placing a restraining order on his father. At least now she could relate to him, seeing as they were two people whose lives had been fucked up by family. However, the look of his face could never be erased from Aiko’s memory. The way he had to turn away from her, avoiding her eye contact, it just made her sad. She laughed, as she sat on the bed, and looked at him. She knew that he would be confused as to why she was laughing, seeing as they hadn’t spoken much since they had entered the hospital room. Aaron, I’m sorry about your brother. She knew that a little word such as sorry wasn’t going to bring his brother back into his life and erase his bad past, but she still wanted him to know that she was there for him, just as he was there for her.
His idea had worked…thanks to a little coffee and good acting skills, they had managed to convince the whole hospital that the large scratches on Aiko’s arms were because of a tree. To say she was surprised that it worked would have been an understatement. She had wondered if Aaron had lied to a nurse before…but she didn’t want to intrude. He would tell her, he had told her that he had to place a restraining order on his father and about his brother, so when the time came, they would tell each other about their pasts, it might take a couple beers to get it out of him, but that meant a good night, and Aiko wouldn’t turn down a good night. He finally spoke, answering what she had said. Don’t even think that I’d leave you for a second Aiko. From now on, I want to be by your side as much as I can. Seriously. Of course, I don’t want to smother you or anything like that - but I’m here for whenever you need something He took her hand and squeezed it, sending his support through her veins. Her hand looked so delicate inside his. She knew that he wouldn’t let go, wanting to comfort her. she wouldn’t let go either, wanting to not only feel comfort from his warm hand, but she wanted to tell him, without words, that she was there for him, a shoulder to cry on…she was a great listener after all. she opened her mouth to reply, but no words came out, so she closed it and smiled down at him. plus…he had spoken before she could find words anyway. She had been serious about her finding a job, but, as if she was a young girl placed inside a candy store with unlimited access, she couldn’t turn down his offer of acting like herself and not having a job. She smiled widely, her pearly white teeth a competition for the white walls. Her reply was a laugh, and she knew that it would be better than words, seeing, as Aaron hadn’t heard her laugh in a while. She knew that Aaron was telling the truth, that he could afford her staying with him. Why would he have asked her if he wasn’t financially capable? Sometimes, Aiko thought that she needed to think about these things before speaking. Her eyes darted to the doorway, as she heard footsteps from the hall…gradually getting closer to the room. Her smile washed away as the thought of her mother walking down the hall popped into her mind. Although the person wasn’t her mother, but a doctor, Aiko didn’t smile. And she knew Aaron shared the same thought as her as to why the hell doctors smiled so often when they basically allowed death to walk through the corridors with them. she tried to smile at him, to show him that she wasn’t a horrible girl, although her smile didn’t quite reach her sapphire eyes. ‘Let’s see what we have here… the doctor said whilst walking over to her. he touched her arms and examined them, and she had to bite her lip to not force him away, as the stinging began again. Well - must’ve been a pretty tall tree, huh?’ She gave him a wide stare as he chuckled, and waited till he moved to the cupboards till she stuck her scowled at him. she looked back down at Aaron and removed her hand from his. she didn’t want the doctor to think that they were in a relationship…that would just be awkward. When the doctor walked back to her with the bandages in his hand, she knew that this was going to be a horrible ordeal. She hissed as the alcohol came into contact with her sore cuts, but luckily he had quickly wrapped her arms with white cotton. She looked like a fool, looked like a Dalmatian with white paws. She knew the minute that the doctor ordered Aaron what to do that he thought that he was a parent. How stupid was he? Aaron would have been 4 if he was Aiko’s father. she rolled her eyes and let out a sarcastic chuckle, before shutting up when he turned to her. ‘Take the recommended dose - no more, no less than what it says. I think that it’s one in the morning and one at night. They are pretty strong. she forced a smile and took the script, Thank you doctor. He may have got on her nerves but Aiko had manors. When he had left there was a better atmosphere in the room, just her and Aaron. She smiled down at him, grabbed her jacket and placed it on before accepting his hand, again, and allowed him to help her down. Back to reality…back to being short. They walked down the corridor, Aaron must have been looking for a pharmacy. She didn’t know hospitals, but from the many episodes of House that she had watched, she knew that most of them sometimes had a pharmacy in them. She stopped when Aaron turned to her and smiled up at him. You can go out to the truck and I’ll go get your pills. Aaron would make such a great husband…and one day, a fabulous dad, Aiko knew it. deep inside that strong build of his, he had a heart of gold. She knew that no one would stare at her in his truck, seeing as he had tinted his windows so that no one could see the passenger. She took his keys from him after he had fished them out and nodded, then laughed when he spoke again: Now when I get out of here - my truck better still be there She was about to walk away if he hadn’t placed one arm around her and hugged her. She inhaled his scent for a moment before pulling away, still smiling. She watched him as he walked down the stairs, and squeezed her hand over his keys. Sighing, she made her way silently out of the hospital and opened up his truck. She climbed up, locked the door and sat in the large seat, his keys still round her fingers. She lay her head back and closed her eyes. She was tired. She knew that she would only get a couple minutes sleep if she went now, but that would do for now. She curled herself up in the chair, it was large enough for her to place her legs up to her chest as she lay on her side. She smiled…normally when she closed her eyes thoughts of her mother haunted her dreams. But now, she didn’t have any bad thoughts. Staying with Aaron was going to be good for both of them. It wasn’t until a loud tap on the window woke her up and she caught her breath before realising it was Aaron. Grinning she unlocked the door and put the keys in the ignition for him. He gave her the pills, along with a bottle of water that he must have bought. she thought about offering to repay him, but then again, it was only water…and it was for her pills. Here ya go. Drink up Thanks, she said, god that was the word of the day, she had said it so often. She opened the bottle of water and popped the pill box open, it was more or less morning, and she knew that the caffeine would kick in and help the pill work. She swallowed it with a gulp of water before placing the cap back on the bottle. Do you want to grab your things and load them into my truck now or what? He said as she placed the water in the cup holder. She stared at him, eyes wide. She really wasn’t in the mood to go back to her mother…but knew that she had him as a body guard if she did something funny, plus, she couldn’t stay at his with just the clothes that she was wearing. She smiled faintly and nodded. I guess, we have to. She shrugged the thought of her mother shouting away and rested her elbow on the side of the door, her head lying in her palm.

I know where I come from, How ‘bout you? I don‘t need baggy clothes, Or rings in my nose to be cool. [/blockquote]_________________________________ Aaron was lost in thought, he had mostly mentioned that he had a father and had put a restraining order against his father to let her know that she wasn’t alone out in this world. She wasn’t the only one with a broken down family. He wanted her to know that they had a lot more in common than she thought they did. But he couldn’t tell her the whole thing - it was still too painful. He’d kept it bottled up for just wait to long. Running his hand through his short hair he sighed - he really wanted to have some hair to pull right now. Maybe he’d grow it out? Yeah, that’s what he was gonna do. He looked over at her as she laughed, an eyebrow raised slowly. Was she okay? Was she going insane? He watched her as she looked at him - and then listened to her words. Aaron, I’m sorry about your brother. He wondered why she had laughed before she said that. But then again he paid close attention to her tone and realized that she wasn’t joking about - she really felt bad about him. He shook his head, a crooked smile on his lips. It’s okay, not like you could do anything about it. Not like anybody can. He muttered the second part underneath his breath - and didn’t think that she had heard it. Not like it mattered much. He sighed heavily, thinking about his broken down family made him depressed. And that wasn’t what he wanted to be when he was around Akio. He looked over at her, wanting to change the tone of this conversation, but finding no words on his tongue.
Maybe Aaron needed to talk to her about his past… but they had to share it all together. He knew that there were things about her mom that she hadn’t told him… or at least he had a hunch - he could be very well wrong. He wished that he was wrong, he didn’t know how much hardship she had been through. He knew that they were destined to be together, just because they could make each other stronger - rebounding from their horrid pasts, being able to get closure from all of that shit that had gone down. As he spoke to her, saying that his house was hers, his eyes scanned her delicate face. He wanted her to understand the rules that he was now laying down. His job brought in plenty of enough cash for them to survive on - it wasn’t like he hadn’t saved up - there was a substantial amount in his back account. And since he had been named the head mechanic, he made close to $40 an hour, which was a lot - especially in Arden Falls the broken town. He looked over at Akio, a smile on her lips as she listened to him. He liked how he seemed to capture all of her attention when he spoke to her - he wasn’t just ‘another guy’ to her - he was like an older brother and that made his heart swell with happiness. He felt, sometimes like she was from the same broken family as he was… in a way, she very well could have been. He looked down for a moment, a smile on his maw. He lifted his head when she laughed, the smile growing larger as his heart lifted again - a laugh was better than any word she could say right now since he hadn’t heard one come out of her mouth for a while now. He turned his head at the sound of approaching steps, a joke caught on the tip of his tongue. He swallowed as he saw the doctor come in, forcing a smile on his face. It didn’t reach up to his eyes.
Once he was back in his truck he watched her take her pills before he started it up, not wanting her to choke or anything. Thanks. Your welcome. He said with a smile, buckling up and shifting his truck into ‘drive’. Then he pulled out of the lot, trying to get away from the hospital as soon as he could. He hated that place - even though wondrous things like births happened all the time, he found it slightly creepy and ironic that deaths were happening just a floor away. One flame was lit while another diminished. He shook his head, sighing. He didn’t know that he had had been holding his breath. Steering with one hand ( his left ) at the twelve o’clock position on the wheel, his right thumb fiddled with the radio. His eyes flicked up and down, watching the road and the radio every five seconds or so. He finally settled upon a station and leaned back in his seat, rolling down his window and sticking his elbow out the open window, steering with his right hand now. He looked over at Akio after he asked her a question. He knew that it would be hard to go back… but at least he would be there. He was definitely going to come inside if that was how she wanted to do this. But he had a feeling that they could just unload it into his truck… there was a little alleyway a few centimetres away from the side of the home where Akio’s bedroom window was… so he could just park his truck there. It was high enough that between that height and his own, he would be able to take her things in boxes and load up his truck, so Akio wouldn’t be able to bring it down past her mother. I guess, we have to. Aaron switched hands, leaning towards her and taking her one small hand up in his large one. He squeezed it, turning down onto his street. I’ll be right here. He looked into her eyes for as long as he could without getting them into an accident, then glanced away.
Slowing down when he neared her house he smiled. He didn’t tell her the plan, but he knew that it would work. Slowing down even more he flipped on his indicator and then backed down the narrow alleyway, using his expertise to manoeuvre the large truck into it. When he was just outside her window he shifted the truck into park and then cut the engine. Putting the keys in his pocket he smiled at her. You can climb into your window, I’ll hoist you up there. Then you can just pass me things out here and we’ll put it into the bed of my truck. Thank God it’s so tall. He smiled, getting out. Shutting the door behind him he climbed up into the bed of the truck. It was huge, the bed and the height of the truck. He didn’t know that he would be using it for something like this, but he was glad that he had lifted his truck this high. It just worked out. As he stood there, he glanced around, hearing the front door creak open slowly. He froze, holding his breath. His fists curled into balls even though he wouldn’t raise a fist to her mother. Sure, he would remove her forcefully out of the way if she attacked Akio… He listened intently, leaning forwards. His truck was blocked by the house, so thankfully she wouldn’t see that they were parked right outside her home. ‘Akio - if that’s you - you better get your scrawny ass inside now!’
Aarron’s face hardened. He went back in time to his father yelling as his mom and opened his mouth ready to say something to her mom. He caught himself though, just in the nick of time. He heard shuffling feet, and then the creak of the front door closing behind her. It closed with a loud snap and Aaron immediately looked over at Akio. Don’t worry about her. Any trouble up there and you call for me, okay? Promise? He was worried about her - and it showed in his eyes. Clearly, her mom wasn’t passed out like he’d hoped she would be. Life was always difficult… wasn’t it?[/blockquote] Tag: Akio Summers Word Count: 1415 Comments: your posts are awesome! *huggles* don‘t ever rush ‘em lol.[/blockquote]
