aaiden gray.tell me how to win your heart, 'cause i haven't got a clue Seven o' clock in the morning and Aaiden was already eating cake. Healthy? No. Good? Yes. He stabbed his fork into the moist chocolate cake and sat back in his chair, arms crossed. The cake itself was half eaten, because chocolate made him a bit sick in large quantities. As he sat there, an employee looked at him a bit strangely. In that instant, Aaiden felt a bit stupid for staring down his food. The twenty-two year old offered the employee a sheepish smile and leaned forward, taking a big bite of the food. A few moments and he finished it. He pushed his plate across the table and slumped in his chair, elbow propped up on the surface.
Aaiden felt as if he was in a rut. Life around Arden Falls was boring and getting worse with each passing day. Jobs were leaving, people were leaving, and crime was getting worse. In a way, it hurt him to see this town, where he was born and raised in, fall so quickly. The fact that even he didn't have a job was a bit depressing too. Aaiden yawned and drummed his fingers against the table. He really needed to get a hobby...or a job. He had a college degree, for god's sake. He shouldn't be sitting in a bakery eating cake at the crack of dawn. This became a sort of ritual for him. Wake up, go eat cake. Pathetic, yes? His slate blue eyes danced outside. It was cloudy, thin sheets of rain falling from the sky.
This man wasn't exactly dressed for the weather or to impress. Simple jeans, a white t-shirt, and some old black converse made his outfit at the moment. Usually, Aaiden dressed in a rather proper manner, but today, he was feeling especially lazy. His dark hair wasn't as shaggy as it normally was, no. He had just had it cut, so it wouldn't look that way for awhile. Aaiden sighed in a very bored tone and glanced back over to the window. Thunder grumbled in the distance. What a nice day...
outofcharacter; lulz. this post is crappy. EVERYONE/ANYONE may join...Aaiden's bored. D:

Adrienne hardly ever ran, mostly because she wore high heels every day of her life, and three inch heels weren't exactly the best running shoes. However, today was an exception. With her mother's birthday in just two days, Adrienne desperately needed some sort of birthday cake. Since Adrienne couldn't even cook macaroni and cheese, she had only one option: going to the bakery. She had left her house just fifteen minutes earlier, before it started raining. She had decided to walk, and hopefully enjoy the weather. Obviously, Adrienne wasn't too good at predicting the weather, either. If she had known it was going to rain, she probably would have dressed differently. Instead, Adrienne was hurrying through the rain in a pale yellow tank top with pink polka dots, tiny blue jean shorts, and cute little sandals with two inch heels.
But desperate times called for desperate measures, Adrienne realized, as she dashed to the shelter of the bakery. Little splashes of water sprang up each time her sandals touched the sidewalk. My shoes are ruined, she thought miserably, as she finally reached the bakery. She pulled open the door and hurried inside, eager to be out of the approaching storm. Her completely soaked sandals made little squish-squish noises as she walked across the floor, up to the counter. She ordered the prettiest cake that her mother would like- a simple chocolate cake, that read "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANDREA!", in light pink icing. While she waited for the cake to be finished, she glanced around the bakery to see if she recognized anyone. Having lived in Arden Falls her whole life, Adrienne knew a lot of people. Since it was only seven o' clock in the morning, there weren't that many people around. The only reason Adrienne had dragged her ass out of bed was so she could get the cake and get it home before her mother woke up- after all, it was supposed to be a surprise. However, Adrienne was really starting to wonder if she would make it home before her mother woke up, with the storm approaching.
"Ugh," she grumbled, as the rain began to pour even heavier. "This sucks."
OOC_ My post really sucks. I haven't role played in a few weeks, so I'm kinda rusty. xD

aaiden gray.tell me how to win your heart, 'cause i haven't got a clue Aaiden yawned again, propping his arms up on the table. He rested his head on those arms, gaze flickering around the little bakery apathetically. Pastries, doughnuts, and cakes lined the shelves, waiting for someone to eat them. Yes, he had to admit. All of it looked amazing, but after that extremely rich piece of cake, he wouldn't be eating another thing for about two hours. The rain was falling even harder now, slamming against the roof of the building, distorting the running figures of people upon the sidewalk.
One of those people was Adrienne Walsh. Aaiden's slate blue eyes watched the girl curiously, a rather bored look on his face. He knew her very vaguely, only knowing her first and last name. He had lived in this town his whole life, so this wasn't uncommon. He watched her intently as she ordered a cake and then waited, glancing around the room in a frantic fashion. Was she in a hurry? By the look on her face, she seemed more upset about the rain than the time...Uhg, this sucks. She said.
No truer words had ever been spoken, thought Aaiden sarcastically. Aaiden cleared his throat and leaned up, straightening in the chair. He wasn't exactly sure what to do at this moment. He knew this girl, yes...but, he wasn't exactly a conversation starter. Aaiden took that into consideration. Surely, she wouldn't slap him for talking to her, right? Might as well take a stab at it.
"Lovely day, hm?" Aaiden asked Adrienne softly, the smallest hit of a smirk on his face.
Well, it wasn't eloquent, but it was a start.
outofcharacter; D: Boo. My posts fail.

Adrienne raised her eyebrows, smiling slightly. "Oh, yes, I think the rain makes my hair look much better than shampoo ever will," she joked. "They should put this stuff in a bottle and sell it at Walmart."
Adrienne was pretty sure she had talked to Aaiden before, or at least just said hi. He looked slightly familiar, although she didn't know much about him, other than his name. Adrienne wondered how she could not know him- after all, she had lived in Arden Falls all her life, it wasn't that big of a town. In fact, Arden Falls had a smaller population than ever. Adrienne couldn't remember when everything went wrong. Her dad blamed the Republicans, and her mother said it was the mayor's fault. Adrienne really didn't understand much about politics, since she rarely watched the news (and she obviously didn't watch the weather, either). Adrienne hoped that her dad's company wouldn't collapse like so many others did.
Adrienne pushed thoughts of politics and crumbling ghost towns out of her mind, and focused on the conversation she was having with Aaiden. "What brings you here so early?" she asked, absentmindedly tapping her long red fingernails on the counter, to the rhythm of a song she had heard on the radio yesterday. She glanced out the window, and noticed the rain falling hard, and the flash of lighting that lit the sky for a few brief seconds. She hoped that that the storm would pass soon- she wasn't exactly eager to go back out in the awful weather.

you're giving me too many things lately - - - - - - - - - - - - - The girl at the counter sighed. Resting her elbows on the tan-colored board, she twirled an absent-minded finger through her already curled hair. Humming quietly to herself, in tune with the pelting rain, Madelyn Daina Carden glanced around the drab bakery, at which she was 'lucky' enough as to get a job here. Laughing pitifully at herself, she took into account the people there, sitting idly in those chairs that had seen better days- in her honest opinion. Wondering if anyone had noticed her laughter, she shook her head slightly; left to right, to and fro, and her raven-hued hair danced around her face. Even for the early morning, Madelyn would have to say, they weren't lacking in customers. It was a /bakery/ for god's sake. Nothing much exciting about mulling around in sweet-smelling baked goods for much of the day. Madelyn would admit though- they were good. The best bread in Arden Falls the sign in the window read, and she had to oblige.
Today was a slow day- she already knew that, and she watched the door nonchalantly, the rain pouring down in sheets. Thunder and lightning filled the air and her ears, and just as she was about to lift the camera from her neck to snap a photo, there was a jingling at the front door, and in walked Adrienne. Letting her camera fall to her side, Madelyn smiled sweetly at her- something she always did to her customers. Taking her order, Madelyn walked softly over to the cake display, and selected just the cake Adrienne had asked for. Placing it atop the counter, she printed neatly on it the words; 'Happy Birthday Andrea' in all capital letters. Sliding the cake into a holding container, Madelyn then slid it across the counter at Adrienne. "There you go." Madelyn said, and she added after that- "Send my wishes to her today."
She patted the top of the container readily, as if to say; 'have a dry walk home' but just then, Aaiden spoke up. She turned to face him, the gauzy dress she was wearing twirling slightly as she did so. As it was pretty cool in the bakery itself, Madelyn had also come prepared with a jacket- which she was wearing now as well. The Burgundy of the sweater with the off-white material of her dress set off her skin nicely, and she nodded to him, as a reply to his questioning. I still like this weather better then hot days. Madelyn stated to herself, as Adrienne responded to the male. "Hahah. Very true, Adrienne, very true." Madelyn said to her.
ooc; x33 Ahah. First ever post role playing a human, actually. I think I did okay. [:
